"It's not that, it's just not sour enough. I need to add more vinegar," said Jennie.

Lisa gulped loudly. When Jennie said that she wanted something sour, Aunt Chen had especially added extra vinegar. Lisa could smell that vinegar from a mile away but was still complaining that it was not sour enough.

Lisa could almost feel his teeth fall off.

Jennie was about to get up when he stopped her. Lisa said, "Sit down. I'll get it for you."

Jennie smiled as she enjoyed Lisa taking care of her.

After two or three minutes, Lisa returned with a bottle of vinegar. Jennie took it from him and drizzled it generously on her noodles.

The smell of the sour vinegar made Lisa's teeth ache; The whole room reeked of the smell.

Jennie mixed it into her noodles. She wanted to add the garlic paste for taste but decided not to, in case Lisa was tortured by the smell.

She tried the noodles and would not stop smiling as she ate with a happy look on her face.

As she looked at Lisa who, on the other hand, had a sour on his face, and a mischievous thought popped into her head. She grabbed a small amount of noodles with her chopsticks and quickly stuck it into Lisa's mouth when his guard was lowered.

The sour taste made Lisa scrunch up his face further. His good-looking face was now wrinkled up like a sour plum and his eyes were shut tight from the overpowering flavor in his mouth.

As his mouth and nose scrunched up, Jennie doubled over with laughter. She was laughing so hard that she soon fell onto the bed and hugged her tummy while rolling around with laughter.

Meanwhile, Lisa was choking on the food. It was not something a typical person would enjoy, but when he saw Jennie enjoying it so heartily, he felt that it may not have been as sour as it smelt.

However, now that the noodles were in his mouth, he did not dare to chew them. This was especially so for the shredded cucumber which had completely absorbed the vinegar.

He watched the woman laughing happily at his misery on the bed and immediately pounced on her. He caught hold of her head and kissed her on the lips, returning the noodles and shredded cucumber to her. Seconds later, the vinegar-soaked ingredients were passed back into her mouth.

Jennie's mouth was filled with the taste of vinegar, and after Lisa had his fill of her lips, he felt much better. His taste buds were no longer tortured by the sour flavor, and everything now tasted slightly sweeter.

He slowly let go of her as Lisa said a little regretfully, "It should have been a good birthday for you but we couldn't spend it nicely. You didn't manage to try the cake, you didn't have a nice meal. Now, even the surprise is gone."

Jennie's eyes shone brightly as she pulled Lisa's hands to rub her tummy. "Says who? I think this is the biggest surprise in the world! Today may be one of the most unforgettable days I've ever had. It is definitely the most unforgettable birthday I've had. This is the biggest surprise and the best present ever."

"All you've had for your birthday is this bowl of noodles. It's a little too simple," Lisa still felt bad about the matter.

Jennie bit Lisa's lower lip gently as she sucked on it. There was still some vinegar on his lips, which made it soft and sour, but it still tasted better than the noodles.

Jennie had a contented look on her face, like a sleepy little fox.

"I don't think so. I'm pregnant and you're blaming yourself for me not having a wonderful birthday. You're going to need to take good care of me for the next ten months. You are not allowed to make me angry and anything I say goes. You're going to get me whatever I want and do whatever I tell you to, right?" Jennie asked as she raised an eyebrow. Even though she was being pressed underneath Lisa, her expression was that of a prideful queen.
