Jennie could not even stand being touched by him, so she slapped his hand aside and ignored him. When she walked past him, however, she heard Eunwoo say, "Aren't you afraid I'll tell Lisa about your past with Lee Do-Hyun?"
Jennie paused and turned around, staring at him wordlessly before she said, "What do you want?"
Jennie was not afraid or guilty. There was nothing between her and Lee Do-Hyun, so he could say whatever he liked.
She had made a promise with Lisa, that they would never keep any secrets from each other. That naturally meant she would tell Lisa all about her meeting with Lee Do-Hyun today.
As for Lee Do-Hyun's claims– while they were amusing and unbelievable, she was still going to tell Lisa about them. Even if it was false, they still had to be on their guards.
Seeing Eunwoo had somehow calmed Jennie down instead.
Now that she could reconsider Lee Do-Hyun's tales clearly, she could see all the holes in his story.
Lisa and Dongwook looked so similar, so there was no doubt that Dongwook was a member of The Manoban Family. Lisa's and Dongwook's features were very similar, about as similar as brothers would be. On the other hand, aside from the fact that Lee Do-Hyun looked somewhat similar to Lisa, he did not look anything like any other member of The Manoban Family.
As for his similarities to Lisa, it was probably because of Song Ji Hye.
That was right. Jennie believed him when he said he was Song Ji Hye's son.
Song Ji Hye was very fond of Lee Do-Hyun, fonder than she was of Sunmi. She looked at Lee Do-Hyun as passionately as a mother would look at her son. She was nice to Sunmi, but her treatment of Sunmi was not as unreserved and intimate as the way she treated Lee Do-Hyun.
Song Ji Hye's attitude was precisely the reason why Jennie was certain that Lee Do-Hyun had been fibbing.
If Song Ji Hye really had switched Lee Do-Hyun and Lisa out of a desire for revenge, and if Lisa really was the son she had with her beloved Lee Ji Hoon, why would Song Ji Hye treat Lisa so badly ever since he was a child? Why did she never give him any motherly love? Why had she always looked at Lisa with such dislike and animosity, as though he were her enemy?
She had even been kinder to Sunmi than she had been to Lisa.
Sunmi was Lee Ji Hoon's daughter with another woman, but Lisa was her own son.
If Lisa and Lee Do-Hyun really had been switched out, then Song Ji Hye should rightfully prefer Lisa.
That alone meant that Jennie could not believe Lee Do-Hyun's claims.
She shook her head and laughed self-deprecatingly. How could she be so easily fooled? She could not believe that Lee Do-Hyun's words got to her and even made her panic.
While Jennie was lost in her thoughts, she stayed silent and had even forgotten that Eunwoo was there.
However, Eunwoo mistook her silence for an acknowledgment of guilt and fear. Jennie had purposely misled him earlier too, so now he grinned arrogantly.
"You know about what happened between me and Krystal, right? Now I've been—" Eunwoo's features contorted, and he could not say that he was "chased out". "Now I've left Kim Mao, and it's all your fault."
"So?" Jennie raised her brows. She could no longer be bothered to say Eunwoo deserved it.
It was not like he would listen, anyway.
