"..." Lisa looked at her with his dark solemn eyes and an ambiguous half smile. "Ms. Kim, you have quite an unusual expertise."

Jennie said nothing, "..."

"I asked you where your house is, but you haven't given me an answer," Lisa said. His voice was deep yet mellow when he was serious.

"It's okay, I'll take a taxi. Sorry to have troubled you so much tonight," Jennie said timidly. After all, she did not know him that well.

Lisa did not say a word, he was staring at her in silence.

Jennie wanted to disappear and compressed herself into the back of her seat, his unmoving stare made her nervous. Just when she felt a tingling sensation in her head and did not know what to say, Lisa finally said, "Do you hate me, Ms. Kim?"

"No!" Jennie quickly shook her head. "I'm grateful for your help tonight."

"Then are you afraid of me?" Lisa continued to ask and raised his brows.

"Master Manoban, you..."

"Or are you still holding a grudge from the misunderstanding in the washroom last time?" Lisa asked casually. His was charismatic and his voice was clear and pleasant, it was hard to associate him with her first impression of him as a hooligan.

Jennie was at a loss for words, "..."

Misunderstanding? What a joke!

"It's not like that. Just like what you said, it was only a misunderstanding," Jennie said insincerely and gave a forced laugh.

She gave in eventually and told him her address.

Lisa seemed pleased. He ignited the engine of the car and started driving. Louis who was sitting on the child safety seat behind scrolled through his phone for a while, then he turned his head and looked out the window.

It was extremely quiet in the car, even Louis was silent. Jennie felt a weird tension building up, to the point that she was afraid to even breathe.

She glanced sideward and saw his masculine hands on the steering wheel. Strangely enough, the sight of it made her blush.

He suddenly stretched his masculine hands that were originally on the steering wheel towards her direction. She was startled. As his hand approached her, Jennie was so nervous that the muscles of her legs tightened. Her legs quivered slightly. Lisa reached for his phone in the storage compartment of the armrest console and retrieved his hand.

Jennie finally put herself at ease. She was too embarrassed to lift up her head. She completely misunderstood the situation and she was afraid that Lisa saw her putting her guards up. She heard him chuckled, and it seemed like he was mocking her, which made her even more afraid to look up.

Lisa peeped at her, the corner of his mouth lifted as he felt a sense of achievement. He stopped the car at the red traffic light and swiftly sent a message with his phone.

Louis's phone screen lightened up, he looked at it and said nothing,"..."

After that, Louis said softly, "Big Nephew, I'm hungry."

"..." Jennie turned around and look at Louis in confusion. Did they not eat at Sheng Yue just now?

Louis touched his round tummy and said, "We were about to go for dinner, but we saw you climbing out from the vent. I was so shocked at that moment I forgot that I was supposed to eat, only now the hunger's starting to kick in.

Jennie wanted to tell him to drop her off somewhere in front and she would go home on her own. It was more important for him to bring the kid to dinner.

However, the refined voice of Lisa was faintly heard. "Louis's hungry."

Jennie did not know how to respond to that, "..."

What were you going to say, Master Manoban?

"If I bring him to dinner after sending you home, he would be starving to death by that time," Lisa said.

"..." Jennie finally suggested what was on her mind in a hesitant tone. "How about I get off in front?"

Lisa lifted his eyebrows. "Abandoning you halfway after I promised to send you home? What did you take me for?" Jennie felt that he was actually offended by her words, and suddenly she did not know what to say.

"You probably haven't eaten anything tonight too. Come with us," Lisa said indistinctly.

"..." Jennie realized that she actually did not know him that well. "I don't think it's right to trouble you so much."

He glanced at her from the corner of his jet-black eyes. "So it's not troublesome for me to send you home, make a huge turn and then only bring him to dinner? Do you feel that it's right to starve Louis? He's only six years old and he needs extra care."

Jennie said, "There's a subway station in front. Why don't you just drop me there? There's actually a station near my house."

Lisa replied, "Abandoning you halfway after I promised to send you home? What did you take me for?"

"..."

Are you a repeater? Can we still converse?!

They were stuck in traffic, constantly stopping and moving slowly on the road. Lisa was silent, but Louis continually bawled that he was hungry.

Jennie had no choice but to finally agree. "Then...Master Manoban, I'll join the both of you for dinner if that's all right."

Lisa nodded reluctantly.

"..."

Right at this moment, she heard the sound of a phone ringing behind, and then the voice of Louis saying, "Dad..."

"Yes. Everything's going fine with Big Nephew. He's extremely caring today. He even texted to ask me if I was hungry, and if I was I should say it out loud and he would bring me to a Japanese restaurant. I'm delighted!" Louis had a childish voice, but he pretended to sound like an adult by dragging his words and sighing at the end of a sentence.

Lisa was speechless, "..."

So was Jennie, "..."

She suddenly remembered him sending a text message when he stopped at the red light just now. She felt that he was up to something.

A small but fat hand suddenly appeared in between them and it disrupted her thoughts. Louis was holding a smartphone with his chubby fingers, then he said, "Big Nephew, your granduncle wants to talk to you."

Lisa wanted to throw his clueless ally out of the car really badly. He grabbed the phone coldly and placed it on his ears.

He hurriedly said, "I can't talk while I'm driving." Then he immediately hung up and tossed the phone back to Louis.

Jennie heard Louis calling Lisa big nephew, but Lisa put on his emotionless front and seemed to be unfazed by it. However, she could feel that deep down, he actually felt wronged.
