"No, I didn't know!" Park Shin-Hye shook her head in panic. "I didn't know for real, it's not on purpose. I had no ulterior motives. If I had known she was unkind to you, I wouldn't have done it. I... I didn't know she was that terrible!"
"You know now." Jennie scoffed at her, "So I'm advising you, stop talking to her. Don't let her use you anymore. Ms. Park, I'll just be frank. You're not a very clever person. You may not have ulterior motives on me, or you would have kept your guards up on Sunmi. But, it's because you're not clever that you're unable to sense the traps she'd set for you and was unconsciously used by her."
"If you mean well for me, then you need to keep your distance from her. Stop having any sort of communication with her," Jennie said in a stern tone as she sighed heavily.
If she were to say it more pleasantly, she was scared Park Shin-Hye would not get the gist.
"If you're really sorry that you threw me away before, shouldn't you at least be doing things that are actually good for me?" Jennie said.
Park Shin-Hye felt a stab in her heart, but she nodded anyway. "I... I won't go near her anymore, please believe me."
"Good," Jennie nodded.
As for Park Shin-Hye's guarantee, she did not believe in it. But it did not matter anymore, so long she kept her guard up.
Lisa then spoke to Park Shin-Hye, "I'll ask someone to take you home."
It was obvious that they did not believe her.
But Park Shin-Hye seemed to not sense the implied meaning of this statement and waved her hands uneasily declining, "No need, no need."
Lisa ignored her and waved at the opposite road. Huang Changxian came over.
Lisa instructed Huang Changxian to send Park Shin-Hye home and did not allow her to reject it.
Sunmi was sitting in the car and saw Lisa coming over. She felt uneasy in her heart and frowned while looking at them, but she was unable to hear what they were talking about.
She then saw Huang Changxian going over, grabbing Park Shin-Hye by her arm and leaving. Sunmi clenched her steering wheel and squinted her eyes.
"Let's go," Lisa held Jennie's hand and brought her to his car.
Suddenly he stood still, his gaze turned to another direction opposite the road.
Sunmi was in the car and almost as if she had met eyes with Lisa. She knew that he could not look inside but it seemed as if he was able to see through the windows and it made her heart leaped and her palms broke out in cold sweat.
Jennie averted her gaze to where Lisa was looking and saw Sunmi's Audi.
Due to Sunmi's consistent attention toward her, she was familiar with Sunmi's car.
Lisa squinted his eyes and turned back, "Let's go."
Jennie nodded and obediently followed him into the car.
Although she did not have any feelings for Park Shin-Hye, being stirred up by her in such a way did take a toll on her emotions.
Lisa looked at her and said nothing, it only took a couple of minutes and they were back in Manoban Group.
After getting off the car and locking it, he then held onto her hand all the way back to his office.
Fortunately, Manoban Group's staff knew the identity of Jennie from top to bottom. They were no longer a stranger to this scene and did not pay attention to them. They went about normally with their matters.
