Jennie glared at him fiercely, "Get back to your bed and rest!"

She could still hear Lisa's stifled laughs after walking out of the bedroom. It sounded like he was trying his best not to laugh out loud, but he could not help it and the laughter was rolling about in his throat. He was laughing at her, but Jennie could not help that her heart beat faster and her face burnt hotter from his sexy, pleasant laughter.

She cleaned all the cutlery and utensils but did not immediately go back. She took out a bottle of water from the fridge to roll it about on her face to cool down the burning sensation on it before taking a deep breath and returning to check on Lisa.

He did not look like a patient at all, based on his energetic performance just now.

She saw Lisa sitting on the bed the moment she entered. He was leaning against the bedhead and talking on the phone, his long feet crossed casually. The sunlight from the window shone on him. It was serenely picturesque, and Jennie stood gaping at him from the door.

This quiet, serene moment shot Jennie right in the heart. It made her heartbeat slowed back to normal as she felt a warmth surrounding it, but at the same time, it was making her flustered.

"I know," Lisa hung up and looked at Jennie.

Jennie immediately got back to her senses and walked in nonchalantly, and heard him say, "I have to make a trip to the school. That rascal, Louis, just created some sort of trouble and the teachers would like to meet the parents. His dad will only be back next week, and his mum is in T City collecting some evidence."

He looked at the time, "But it's not that urgent right now. We'll meet at 3pm later. That will be when school is out."

Jennie looked at Lisa's condition. The medicine seemed to have kicked in, he looked sleepy and his voice sounded tired and scratchy.

"How will you go over there this afternoon?" Jennie asked.

Lisa took a look at her and smiled, "Can I trouble you to give me a lift?"

Jennie, "..."

Lisa, "I'm worried I'll doze off while driving."

Jennie, "..."

Lisa, "You'll never bear to see something happen to me."

Jennie, "..."

Lisa did not give Jennie the chance to respond and laid down to sleep immediately.

Jennie was relieved. At least she did not have to face him. The pressure was off.

She did not dare to touch the computer in his room, in case there was something important inside. So, she went to the living room to watch television instead. She went to the bedroom to check on Lisa's condition once in a while and tucked him in his blanket.

As the time came close to leave, Jennie came into his bedroom again intending to wake him up. Lisa had kicked away the blanket, one of his long legs was exposed and while the other side of the blanket was high above his tummy.

"Lisa," Jennie tried to shake him awake but his long arms suddenly reached out and wrapped her around the waist, pulling her into his arms. He turned his body to the side and laid his long legs on her waist, hugging her in his arms like a bolster.

This time, Jennie did not give in and pinched him on the arm, but his arms were hard, and she did not even know if she managed to hurt him. All she knew was that her hands were the ones that were hurt.

"Lisa, get up, don't you need to get to the school?" Jennie was bound by him and could only try her best to push him away.

Lisa took a deep breath, it felt good to see Jennie in his arms the moment he opened his eyes. He lowered his head and gave her a peck on the lips.

Lisa let her go and got up before Jennie had time to react.

He walked toward his cupboard and took off his pants before pulling the cupboard door open.

Jennie, "..."

She felt that there was no point in discussing shamelessness with Lisa. She really wanted to give his tight-looking ass one big kick. She closed her eyes and ran out of the room bluhang.

After a while, Lisa walked out of the room in a suit, looking like a normal person, "Why didn't you say anything before leaving the room? I'm a patient, what if something had happened to me?"

Jennie clenched her teeth as she replied, "We could've communicated properly if you weren't acting like a hooligan."

Lisa looked at her with a faint smile. It was hard to figure out what he was thinking, "Let's go."

"..." Jennie felt uneasy being toyed by Lisa.

No one walked into the elevator after they entered it, there were only the two of them in there. Lisa stared at Jennie's face with no attempt to hide his actions.

Jennie finally could not take it and said, "You can't kiss me simply like that anymore."

"What's wrong with me kissing my girlfriend?" Lisa lifted his eyebrows.

"Who's your girlfriend?!" Jennie moved a step back.

"You are. We're kissed, we've hugged, we've touched. Are you not taking any responsibility?" Lisa pouted.

Jennie took a deep breath, "I've no idea why you are being this way after only meeting a few times. I don't understand what exactly do you see in me. I'm just a nobody. I can't afford to play these relationship games. Master Manoban, if you are looking to cure your boredom, I'm not the person you're looking for. Moreover, I don't exactly match up to you, Master Manoban."

Lisa did not say a word. His gaze on her turned from warm to cold.

After that, he did not say a word to Jennie.

His angry, dark face warned people against coming anywhere near him. Jennie did not dare walk alongside him. They walked towards the garage with one after the other. Jennie had not anticipated the situation to become so awkward. She was not sure if Lisa still needed her to give him a lift.

She was still holding the car keys Lisa had passed to her when they left his house. She could not decide whether to return them to Lisa.

At this time, Lisa had gotten into the passenger seat, obviously deciding not to drive.

Jennie stared blankly for a moment. He still wanted her to follow along despite the awkward situation.

The car window rolled down and Lisa looked out from the car with a cold gaze, "Aren't you going to start driving?"

Jennie lowered her head as she held on to the car keys and walked towards the driver's seat. Since the first day she met Lisa, she had experienced him ridiculing her and acting like a hooligan towards her, but he had never been this cold towards her.

For some reason, there was unhappiness in her heart. Even her mouth felt bitter.
