Old Lady Manoban stuck her hand inside her collar and took out an amulet. There was a little note attached to it.

She had purposely bought this prop from a wholesale merchandise store so that she could play the part properly. She never wore it usually.

Jennie took the piece of paper that was still warm. The address of a high-class residential area was written on it.

Jennie returned the note to the old woman. She estimated the cab fare and guessed that it would probably cost less than fifty Yuan for the old woman to get home. However, she decided to give her one hundred Yuan instead as she was worried that the old woman would encounter more trouble on the way home.

"This money is for you. You should call a cab and get home," said Jennie.

The old woman did not look like a scammer to her. If she was wrong, Jennie would simply lose one hundred Yuan. However, she would be able to help the old woman if she was truly in trouble. Jennie did not want to wrongly accuse the old woman and forced her to wander beside the road all day. She found her very pitiful.

Old Lady Manoban did not take the money from her. She held Jennie's hand and said, "You're a kind young woman. I begged so many people here to help me, but none of them were willing to lend me a hand. Meanwhile, you gave me one hundred Yuan at once. In that case, you should just follow me home. My family will return the money to you there. I'm really not a scammer."

"I know. Don't worry, I believe you. But you don't have to return the money to me," said Jennie as she held the old woman and led her to the roadside. She used an application on her phone to call for a cab. "Make sure that you keep this piece of paper with your address properly. Don't lose it again."

Jennie had never expected that Old Lady Manoban would grab her hand and refuse to let go. "I can't do that. It's not an easy task for young people like you to earn money. I can't take a single cent from you."

Old Lady Manoban's impression of Jennie was better now. She dragged Jennie into the cab without allowing her to protest. "Please come with me. I'll return your money to you."

Old Lady Manoban would feel bad if she cheated such a kind-hearted young woman of her money.

Jennie could not refuse her even if she wanted to because the old woman had dragged her into the car and the driver started driving away. Jennie was surprised. Despite the elderly woman's age, she was rather strong.

The car had only moved for a short while before Jennie received a phone call from the old principal. She asked Jennie whether she was done with her work and where was she now.

"I've finished my work, but I encountered an old woman. I'm currently sending her home." Jennie glanced in front at the digital clock below the fare meter. It was slightly past ten o'clock now. She added, "I'll probably need about two more hours to get there. The children may get hungry."

"It's fine. They're very happy today. They would willingly go hungry and wait just so they can have pizza. The children refused to eat proper meals since this morning. They only ate a little bit. They were worried about overeating and being too full to eat their fill in the afternoon," said the old principal as she laughed.

Jennie heard the children yelling "Jenjen" from the side all this while.

"I've prepared some fruits. They won't be hungry if they eat the fruits," said the old principal.

Jennie smiled. A gentle look appeared on her face when she thought about the greedy children who were looking forward to the pizza.

Old Lady Manoban shifted around in her seat in an embarrassed manner when Jennie ended the call. "Young lady, am I delaying your plans?"
