DxH Chapter 13

Literal na natigilan ako sa kinauupuan ko dahil sa isiniwalat niya. Gusto ko sanang isipin na nagbibiro si Aren pero malayong gawin niya iyon dahil hindi siya mahilig makipagbiruan.

“You already aware that I have the ability of Cryokinesis. The ability to produce and manipulate ice and cold.” Pakiramdam ko tumigil ang paghinga ko nang tumingin siya sa aking mga mata.

“Your power is one of a dangerous magic. Of course alam ko dahil aksidente mo itong nagamit noong nasa panganib ako.” Aside sa Teleportation ay may mahika rin na Cryokinesis si Aren and its one of a rare kind of magic.

I admit that I have read the book about Cryokinesis and that everyone with this power is dangerous. Some of them died instantly and didn’t state what the reason was. It was mysterious.

“Which is also why my body weakened when I used both of my magic,” he continued.

“W-Why you didn’t tell me that your not a wolf?” I tried to speak in my natural tone. Ayaw kong mapansin niyang kinakabahan ako. As much as possible gusto kong makita niya na mapagkakatiwalaan ako.

“Because I am the son of King Cesvix.”

“Your joking right?” alanganin kong tanong pero seryoso lang siyang nakatingin sa mga mata ko.

His stared was drowning my mind in a deep ocean. Hindi man lang siya kumurap dahilan para lalo akong hindi makapag-isip ng maayos.

“Whoow this is getting deep... and unexpected...” Pakiramdam ko muntik na akong mahulog sa kama dahil sa nalaman ko. My mind was literally empty at the moment.

Percas is one of the countries in demon realm and sa pagkakaalam ko si King Cesvix ang namumuno. When I was young, I learned that nobody is allowed to leave or enter their country without permission. However, they continue to impart their past to others. While they maintain ties with many regions of the demonic world, however, the knowledge they provide is selective. They live in their own way because they don’t like complicated life outside the Percas. The only fact I know about their country is that it does not get the sun because it is in the extreme north.

I’m happy he’s saying all this stuff, but I can’t tell him I’m from Kaihaw, where Emperor Damascke ruled. I can’t admit that my father is under his rule and one of the dukes that attacked us on the night Princess Vax was introduced.

Sumasakit ang ulo ko. If Sultan Macter rules over the land of humans, then Emperor Damascke rules over the realm of demons. In each of the eleven countries of Werzenia, there is a ruler called Rajah. In comparison, Emperor Damascke’s territory is called King’s.

“B-but why did you escape?”

“They want to use my power.” Aren closes his eyes before he brushes his hair backward.

“Use from what? At sinong itong ‘they’ na tinutukoy mo?” I followed.

“I-I don’t know, but my father only told me how to escape dying...” He paused momentarily. “When someone has a Cryokinesis, their body will feel exhausted.” He looked uncomfortable but continued.

“They will feel weak for some reason, like they can’t handle the pain of releasing the power. The power will consume all the body’s energy that can cause death.” That explains why the vein on his hand turns black when he uses his magic.

Of course, it also answered my mysterious question about his case.

“And when we turn fifteen, our power will get stronger and stronger, and eventually, if our body can’t accept and control the power of Cryokinesis, we will die instantly,” he continued.
