She was trying not to break down in front of him, she was trying not to get mad at him, she was just trying to keep her emotions down

They fell into a silence realizing how far they came
From how they first met when she was crying and he offered her a burger to their first kiss, losing their virginities and to now

Couple hours later it was time to go
Zion been left but he didn't leave her mind
It was finally time to go and Nyairi had got in the car with her dad
Zion was already on the plane headed for Cali
All he could think about was Nyairi and how trying to do the right thing still ended out bad
Tucking his bottom lip in he looked out the window zoning out trying to stop himself from crying

He really couldn't imagine how shit would be without her
But he wanted to make sure he was focused on getting to where he needed to be in life
And he wanted the same for her

He realized something and the thought made him want to break down
He broke his promise to her. He told her he would never leave
He never broke his promises with her because of how important they were to her
Nyairi was laying on the door with tears rolling down her face
She understood where he was coming from but it hurt and she don't think she could ever get over this hurt
"Ari you okay"?
"He broke his promises" i mumbled playing with the promise ring
