It was around 5 o'clock when Chloe got home. She was greeted by a ten-year-old yellow lab named Sunshine. The veterinary assistant was tired from another long day of work but was always happy to see her dog. And even though she had arthritis, Sunshine was always there at the door waiting for Chloe to get home. At the moment, the old dog was the most dependable thing in Chloe's life.

"How's my little girl?" Chloe asked as she pet the dog. "Should we get you your medicine? Well, let's go!" Chloe said enthusiastically which got the older dog wagging her tail in excitement. She then led her dog into the kitchen where she gave her some pills wrapped in bologna. After feeding the dog, Chloe went and took a long hot shower.

After getting out of the shower, Chloe got dressed and made her way down to the living room and joined sunshine on her couch. The redhead took a selfie with the old dog and sent it to her fiancé, Jamie Wellerstein, with a caption that read "Just got home. Miss you :)." She looked at her phone, knowing that Jamie probably wouldn't text her back for hours if he even bothered to at all. He was a traveling insurance salesman, which meant he was constantly coming and going. It was also part of the reason the two weren't married yet. Even though they had been engaged for over two years, Jamie kept telling her that they should wait until he could be home more before they actually got married. The truth was, Jamie didn't like the idea. He always said that marriage was too old fashioned and just a waste of money. But Chloe loved the idea and wanted to be married more than anything. So eventually the two got engaged, but there was no real plan for a wedding in the near future.

Just then, the front door opened, and Chloe's little sister, Cora, walked in.

"How was work?" Chloe asked.

"It sucked like always," Cora responded. The 21-year-old was currently working as a telemarketer. She was supposed to be saving money to buy a car and to go to college, but Chloe wasn't sure if she actually was.

Cora disappeared into her room and came out a few minutes later in a white tank top and a ripped pair of blue jeans. She stopped for a moment to greet Sunshine, who had mustered enough energy to go and see the younger woman.

"I'm going out," Cora mumbled.

"But tonight is movie night. Aubrey and Amy are coming over." Chloe said.

"Sorry. I can't tonight," Cora replied disinterested.

"We'll let you pick the movie," Chloe tried to bargain.

"Tempting, but I have plans."

"Is it with anyone I know?" Chloe asked.

"I doubt it," Cora responded as she made her way to the door.

"Make good choices," Chloe called as her sister left.

Later that night, Chloe found herself watching Pirates of the Caribbean with her two best friends, Aubrey and Fat Amy. Overall, Chloe wasn't too thrilled with the movie Fat Amy had chosen. The only part that she really liked was that Will was willing to sail the seas to save Elizabeth from Pirates. She found herself wondering if Jamie would try and save her if she was kidnapped by pirates.

All of a sudden Chloe felt her phone vibrate. She looked and saw Jamie was calling her. The redhead immediately jumped up and ran into the other room where she could talk in private.

"Hello," Chloe said enthusiastically.

"Hey Babe, how's your day going?" Jamie asked.

"Better now. I've missed you like crazy these past few days. How are you? I want to know everything." Chloe smiled to herself.
