Time is a funny thing.
When Victoria died, Beca swore she would never fall in love again. Yet, now she couldn't stop thinking about how easily she had fallen for Chloe. Every time Chloe was in the room, Beca felt her chest tighten up. The bubbly redhead had found a way to make it past all of Beca's social boundaries. To the point where Beca could hardly remember what life was like without her. She was her best friend, and yet at the same time, she was so much more.
The problem was Beca had no idea how to tell her how she felt or if Chloe even wanted her to. After all, the redhead was still engaged to someone else. For weeks, Beca had debated the issue with herself until she was presented with a golden opportunity. Aubrey had suggested that the team go to Barden's annual second chance prom. It was a charity event that Aubrey's high school hosted every year at the beginning of summer. It gave adults a reason to get dressed up and have a more traditional date night.
Aubrey, of course, had suggested that they go as a group of friends. But as far as Beca was concerned, this was her chance to show Chloe how she felt. Plus, Beca needed a second chance, not just at love but at life. She had lost so much time because of her grief, and now she just wanted some of it back. This felt like the one chance to get a little bit back of what she had lost.
"Beca, you look good," Stacie teased, causing the smaller woman to roll her eyes. For some reason unknown to Beca, Stacie had decided to come over and help Beca and Cora get ready. The taller woman had changed her hair again from black to a strawberry blonde color. She was wearing a white dress with pink flowers that cut off just above the knees. It was a more conservative look for her than Beca was used to.
Beca, on the other hand, was sparing no expense. She was wearing a black fitted dress that perfectly highlighted her curvy figure. Although she would never admit it, the smaller brunette had actually bought the dress for this occasion.
"We know the only reason you're going is because of a certain redhead," Stacie purred as she watched Beca finish applying her makeup.
"I have no idea what you are talking about," Beca replied in an uninterested tone.
"Guys, I think I'll just stay home tonight," Cora said, entering the room. The redhead was wearing a baby blue dress with her long red hair down past her shoulders.
"What? Why?" Stacie asked.
"I'm just not feeling social," Cora replied.
"Dude, if I can go, you can go. Plus, I need my wing woman," Beca said with a wink causing Cora to smile.
"Yeah, we gotta get Beca laid," Stacie said emphatically. "And with any luck, we'll all get lucky tonight."

"How did you get a Limo?" Beca asked Fat Amy as she drove the group to Chloe's house, where they were supposed to pick up Chloe, Aubrey, and Emily.
"Don't ask questions you don't want to know the answers to, shorty," Fat Amy said.
"That just makes me want to know more," Beca replied as she looked at her with a smile smile.
"We're here," Fat Amy said as the vehicle came to a stop.
Fat Amy honked the car's horn three times to let them know they were there.
"You know we could've just called them," Cora said.
"Or texted," Beca added.
"Where is the fun in that," Fat Amy responded as she honked the horn again.
Aubrey was the first one to emerge from the house. She was wearing a dark blue dress with her hair in neat pony tail. Behind her was Emily who was wearing a little black dress that cut off just above the knees.
