Chloe watched the clock intently as her shift came to a close. The last thirty minutes had dragged on for what felt like forever. The bubbly redhead normally loved her job. But the past few days, Chloe couldn't seem to focus on work. All she could think about was that night she had with Beca. Their kiss replayed over and over again in her mind. She could still feel the way Beca held her as they both drifted off to sleep. It was more than just the one night, though. Everything about the smaller woman was intoxicating. Beca pretended to be a sarcastic badass who didn't care about anything, but deep down, she was a softy who cared deeply about her friends, especially Chloe. The shorter woman would have done anything to make the redhead happy.

The only problem was that Chloe was still engaged to Jamie. She knew now it was time for them to break up. Not only because she wanted to see where this thing with Beca might go but also because he wasn't the man who she had fallen in love with anymore. He was abusive and controlling. Chloe wasn't sure if he even loved her anymore or if he ever did. Either way, it was time for a change. However, Chloe had decided it would be best to break it off in person. It was the least she could do, after all, they had been through a lot together. The only problem was she didn't know when he was coming back.

But even that wasn't enough to dampen the smile on Chloe's face. The team was finally starting to all get along. Her bruises were even finally starting to heal. Everything was going great—everything, except for the whole Jesse thing. No one had seen him since the night of the dace, which was fine by Chloe. She swore that if she ever saw him again, she'd give him a peace of her mind.

Once her shift ended, Chloe raced home to change and then raced to the rec center. The redhead felt her heart skip a beat when she saw Beca sitting on her motorcycle. The younger woman gave off a small smile.

"You still owe me a ride," Chloe smirked as she got out of her car.

Beca watched as the redhead ran her hands up and down the bike.

"I'm pretty sure I told you no," Beca quipped.

"Come on, Becs, just think about it," The redhead wrapped her arms around the smaller woman and whispered into her ear. "You and I on the open road. The wind blowing through our hair. you in your sexy leather jack with me on the back holding on for dear life."

Beca closed her eyes and leaned back into the redhead's touch. She felt the hairs on the back of her neck stand up as Chloe spoke. Every word managed to send a shiver down her spine. Just the thought of having Chloe in her life seemed to be too good to be true.

"I could see that," Beca managed to utter out.

"I thought so," Chloe smirked as she released the smaller woman from her grasp. Beca instantly snapped back to reality as she turned to see the redhead walking towards the rec center. She looked at her longingly, already missing the contact. Chloe was about ten feet from the door when she turned around and nodded her head singling for the younger woman to come with her. Beca snapped herself out of her daydream and rushed over to the redhead.

"Chloe, I'm coming for you," Beca squealed as she ran. She wasn't sure why she was acting this giddy. She assumed it must have been Chloe's effect on her.

Chloe interlocked their fingers as they entered the building. They wouldn't be able to hold hands for long, but Chloe wanted to savor every second they had together. The pair hadn't told the others about what had happened the night of the dance, and they didn't want them to make any assumptions. In fact, they hadn't even talked about what had happened. There was just this unspoken feeling between them that they would figure out eventually.

As the pair enter the rec center they were surprised to see two new faces among their team. One was a tall woman who was wearing a black tank top and matching leggings. She had short blonde hair that was tucked neatly into a bun. The other was a shorter Asian-American woman, who seemed a little off.
