Chloe was laying on her couch with Sunshine after a long day. She had worked all morning then Beca had asked her if she wanted to hang out at her place to which Chloe agreed and made her way over. They spent hours laughing and joking around before Chloe had to leave. She had taken Sunshine for a walk when she finally got home and then took a shower before turning on her tv and just laying there, her body exhausted.
"How are you doing?" She asked her dog who just wagged her tail and rested her head on Chloe's stomach. The redhead's eyes started to slowly close, the only sound coming from the television. She was almost asleep when the door opened and slammed shut, causing her to jump up.
"Jamie, you scared me," she sighed, rubbing her eyes. "I didn't think you would be home until next week."
"I caught an early flight," he said and Chloe caught the anger in his eyes. She had seen him angry before, but not this angry.
"Is everything okay?" Chloe asked as she stood up, looking around for Sunshine who ran into another room out of fear when the door slammed.
"I don't know, Chloe. You tell me." Jamie stepped closer to his fiancé who immediately stepped back.
"I don't know," the redhead looked down, tears already brimming her eyes.
"Bullshit," Jamie hissed, shoving her down to the ground, the woman looking up in disbelief. "That voicemail you sent me wasn't nice. You do not cuss me out period. You do not raise your voice at me. You're suppose to listen. Have I not taught you anything?"
"Yes," Chloe stuttered as she stayed on the ground, too afraid to get up.
"Then why do you continue to do this shit? God, Chloe, why are you so stupid?" He yelled and she jumped, the tears rolling down her cheeks.
"I don't mean to, Jamie, I swear. I just really needed to talk to you."
"About what? What was so important you needed to call me while I was working?" He asked, his arms crossing over his chest. When Chloe didn't answer, he yelled, "What was it, Chloe?"
"I got into an argument with Beca and needed to talk about it," she answered quickly and she did everything to avoid eye contact with him.
"You've been spending way too much time with that bitch," he said and Chloe looked up at him.
"Don't call her that. You have no idea who she is."
"I know enough," he replied. "She disrespected me at the park."
Chloe furrowed her eyebrows before standing up. "She didn't disrespect you. She was just curious about you, that's all."
"I don't want you two hanging out anymore," he said and looked around for her phone. When he found it on the couch, he grabbed it.
"Jamie, if I want to hang out with Beca, I will. You don't dictate who I spend my time with," she tried but soon stopped when he wrapped his hand around her throat.
"No, you won't," he warned before throwing her phone clear across the room and with a smack against the wall, it fell to the ground.
"What the hell, Jamie?" She shouted but quickly regretted it as the wind got knocked out of her and she was on the ground once again. She didn't even register what happened until she saw Jamie towering over her with his hand in a fist.
