CH 23 Love is Powerful

"Zai!!" "Zai!!" "Where are you?!" "You stupid idiot!!" "Zai onii-chan!!" "Zai!!"

The rain had ended shortly and we were all out in the forest calling out Zai, but for the past ten minutes there was no luck.

"Anyone tried contacting him?", Ricky suggested. "I did but it didn't work.", Mazi replied. "When was he even gone?", Drogo questioned. "Who knows?"

Then I noticed a familiar bow that was plunged into a nearby tree. I glanced at the bow and pulled it out of the tree. Mazi walked up to me and asked what it was.

"What's it look like to you?", I smartly asked. "... A bow.", Mazi responded. "Then don't ask..." The bow was short, it had a thin branch with twigs tied around it, and there were feathers on the back of it. This looked like the work of scheming little fairies.

I announced, "Okay. I know where are little pal's location is." Everyone all had shocking looks and wondered how I figured it out all so fast. "Where?"

"In the arms of his fiance..."

"Onii-san!! Help!!", Izzy cried. "Come on Izzy you can do it!!", I encouraged her. "No!", she violently shakes her head, "I can't I don't know how to swim!!" I held out a hand towards Izzy, "Izzy take my hand it'll be alright!!" Izzy hesitated but eventually held onto my hand. I pulled her towards me and she whelped a little. I placed her body on my shoulders with her legs swinging between my head.

"Whoa!!", Izzy had sparkles in her eyes as she kept looking everywhere. "Onward Onee-chan!!", Izzy pointed to the opposite side of the river we were in.

Everyone else had already made it back at the opposite side of the river by just strolling through, everyone except Izzy. She was afraid of swimming and drowning in the end and refuses to go into the river. We tried to encourage her that she could do it but she refuses reluctantly. Then this is how I get her over the river, carrying her on my shoulders.

At the end of the river I tried to rip off Izzy, but she held onto my head so tight that if I budge she would rip all of my hair out and that would hurt like hell. I had Izzy on my shoulders, she was playing horse on me, Mazi was by my side chuckling at my appearance, everyone else was just following me from behind.

We soon reached for our destination, Fairy Forest. The first village we saw were all stunned and paralyzed. Then a bright yellow glow crackled in the center of the forest revealing the God Fairy, Sweetdust. "How may I help you here today Ruka-san?", Sweetdust greeted.

I greeted Sweetdust back, "Ah, hi Sweetdust. Well... Where's... Kumari?" Sweetdust stared at me for a moment but then sighed, "Princess Ku escaped Fairy Forest again... But she did leave a note!" With that Sweetdust handed me the note.

The note was written:

"Dear everyone who reads this note,

I refuse to marry such an ugly insect! I need to hunt down my prince! Zai! I'm coming for you Zai-sama!!

Love, Princess Kumari <3"

Sweetdust sighed once more, "I can't believe the princess at all. She was supposed to reboot after the quest ended but it seems she has truly fallen in love."

"Love... Is a powerful thing...", Drogo quoted while looking up at the sky all dramatically. "Exactly!", Sweetdust exclaimed.

Then an explosion was heard, making everyone jump. Izzy grabbed onto my head which had also covered my eyes to see anything at all. "W-what the hell?!" "What was that?!" Smoke appeared above the trees of Fairy Forest. "It's coming from the east!", Mazi stated and we all ran towards eastward.

We reached the river once again, to see a blob of smoke. "What on dust is going on here?!", Sweetdust exclaimed. I felt Izzy having a fainter grip and I took the opportunity to tear her off of me. Izzy whined but I was already off into the black smoke, with Mazi and Drogo following behind.

The three of us were side by side and coughed as the smoke filled our lungs. We heard a voice cry out, "Ka-boom!!!" Another explosion was set off, this time it blasted the three of us and we face planted on the ground in separate places.

I stood back on my feet and pulled out my sword readied for anything that comes at me. "Ah!! Zai!! There she is!!! Run!!", the voice sounded like Kumari was heard. I ran towards the voice but then was blasted away once again.

My HP dropped drastically to 60% as I was hit another four times. I had enough of this childish explosions. I pulled out my magic spells bag and threw out a wind spell. A heavy wind appeared and blew away all the black darkness. Out of the shadows, on my right there was both Mazi and Drogo, on my left there was Kumari and Zai, then in front there was an unfamiliar little girl.

The girl had star antennas, the star was black and the stick part was purple. She had a red scarf around her neck and she wore a purple and pink sweater. Her bottoms were a white skirt, her socks were striped with grey and lighter grey and her shoes were all red. Then she had a brown backpack that she is holding onto with a small teddy bear that had a red ribbon wrapped around it's neck.

Jean gasped at the girl in front of me and pointed at the girl. "You!!", Jean yelled. Then the girl also responed with a 'you' and a point of a finger. Jean ran up to my side and his eyes looked like he was about to burst in tears.

Then Drogo called out the girl's name, "Pollie! What do you think you're doing?!" The girl looked surprised when she saw Drogo but then hollered, "Hey!! Onii-chan!!"

Everyone present had surprising faces printed on them. Jean fell to his knees and clutched to the ground. "Why?!", Jean screamed. "Why?!" Then the girl called Pollie greeted Jean, "Jean!! Why didn't you tell me that you played this game as well?!" Jean looked up towards the girl and continued the conversation. "The game wasn't even out when you left!" "Oh really? Opps! Then my bad! Hee! Hee!"

Then Drogo butted in, "Hey!! How the hell do you two know each other?!" Jean was about to say something but Pollie answered before him, "He was my boyfriend four years ago!!"

A crakling of knuckles was heard nearby Mazi who had a frightened face when he looked up at Drogo.

"What?"
