"I have something I want to tell you..." George muttered, resting his small hand over Clay's where it rested on his cheek.

"What do you wanna tell me, Georgie?" Clay asked in a whisper.

"I... can't hide it anymore Clay. I-I can't pretend anymore." George whispered back.

"Pretend what? What do you mean?" Clay asked, a little confused by what George meant.

"Isn't it obvious?" George asked, the atmosphere heavy with some kind of tension that they were both aware of.

"It's not, tell me." Clay said.

"I like you Clay..." George whispered, averting his gaze from Clay and backing away from Clay's touch while Clay became still, processing George's words. "I like you, and I'm done with pretending that I don't. Please don't hate me."

"Really? You're joking, right George...?" Clay asked softly, cupping George's cheek again and making George face him. He couldn't believe that George liked him back. He thought there was not a single way this was possible.

"No... I'm sorry. I didn't want to ruin the friendship I have with you. Will you hate me now? Will you stop talking to me? Will you kick me ou-" George rambled until he was stopped by Clay placing a finger on his lips.

"You need to chill out George." Clay said, cupping both of George's cheeks and looking between his eyes as his expression softened. "... If you thought you liking me was obvious, how come you didn't notice that I liked you back huh?" Clay said, a gentle smile resting on his lips as he looked at George who just stared back in confusion.

"... Wait what?" George muttered, having the same thoughts that Clay had earlier. There is not a single way this was possible. He likes me back?

"Yes, you idiot. You really are an idiot George. But I still like you back." Clay whispered, smiling like an idiot.

"I guess I am..." George said, a smile making it's way on his lips as well. He cupped Clay's cheek and the two stared into each other's eyes, gaze flicking between them.

George was the first one to break the eye contact as his gaze fell on Clay's lips. Clay noticed this and parted his lips slightly, also glancing down at George's lips. Both of them licked their soft lips as they made eye contact once again.

Clay inched closer to George's face, gaze flicking between his eyes and his lips. George closed his eyes as he felt Clay's warm breath hit his lip. He leaned closer to Clay, their lips brushing together.

Clay closed the tiny bit of distance that was between them, bringing their lips together in a sweet kiss. Their lips danced in their own rhythm, sometimes moving in sync and sometimes not, but they didn't mind. All that mattered was that the two were together and they felt the same things. They liked each other.

The two pulled away for just a second to regain their breaths and connected their lips again, kissing the other passionately. They finally pulled away a few seconds later and touched their foreheads together as they regained their breaths again, hands still holding the others face.

"You know, I've liked you for a while George. I never fully accepted my feelings until now but I knew I liked you. I just couldn't accept it because, well, you've been through so much in the past month or so and I didn't want to be another reason for you to be sad." Clay said, engulfing George in a tight hug.

"You can never make me sad Clay." George muttered, hugging Clay back with a smile on his face. He realised that he was cuddling with Clay now and blushed as he could finally accept that they were cuddling without it being weird.

"To all those times when we cuddled but none of us talked about it as to not make it weird and uncomfortable, we can finally say we're cuddling!" George said happily, resting his head on Clay's chest as Clay ran his hand through George's brunette hair.

"You're so adorable Georgie." Clay said, lifting George's face up and giving his forehead a kiss. The two stayed cuddling on the couch for long enough to George to start feeling sleepy.

"George?" Clay asked, earning a hum from George as he opened his tired eyes to look up at Clay. "What are we?"

"Humans?" George replied in a sleepy voice, his answer making Clay chuckle.

"I mean, yeah, you're not wrong. But that wasn't my question. We both like each other, what does that make us?" Clay asked again after he was done chuckling.

"What do you want us to be?" George asked, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes to be able to process Clay's questions better.

"Whatever you're comfortable with. We can take this however you want. Fast, slow, anything." Clay said, playing with George's soft hair while he waited for George to answer.

"Boyfriends?" George replied a minute later.

"Sure, boyfriends." Clay said, a smile tugging at his lips at the thought of being George's boyfriend.

"Boyfriends it is then. And I'd say just go with the flow. If we decide to take it slow or fast then it's different from how it'd go without deciding that. Now let me sleep." George said as he moved down, resting his head on Clay's lap and closing his eyes. Clay ran his fingers through George's hair, making him fall asleep quicker.

When Clay was sure that George was deep asleep, he carefully picked him up and carried him to the bedroom. He placed George on the bed and climbed in next to him. George immediately clung onto him and rested his head on Clay's chest.

"G'night, George." Clay muttered, kissing George's head and closing his own eyes to fall asleep as well even though it wasn't even night time yet. He still wanted to fall asleep just to be close to George. His George.

And just like that, the two fell asleep cuddling each other, engulfed in each other's warmth. The day had been quite a roller coaster of emotions. From George getting to talk to his parents to confessing to Clay, and Clay going through many emotions as well when George confessed to him. But at the end of the day, one thing was confirmed.

They were together and they liked each other.
