Once up, it was 9AM and I was ready for some time at the gym for training. The place was empty, and it was strange not to have Steve here since I trained with him regularly on Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays.
I set up shop at the squats and did my routine as usual with my music playing in my headphones.
That was until someone pulled one out of my ear mid-squat.
Before I could rip off the head of whoever dared to disturb my workout, I set down the weights and spun on my heels.
"Whoa, easy," Thor stood with his hands up like I had a weapon pointed in his direction.
I released a breath of relief, "Thor, what's up? Why did you pull my headphone out?"
"I wanted to know if you would like to spar with me?"
My face contorted into confusion. "I use magic. You use a hammer and lightning. I think it may be best to spar with Bucky or Sam."
He smiled, "great idea! I'll go ask them," and he ran off like a small child.
Once again, I took a deep breath and went to put in my headphones again, but was once again interrupted by a voice I did not want to deal with.
"Scared of a little lightning?" Barton hopped over the railing from the second floor, landing on his feet like a cat.
"No, Barton, I am not scared of lightning. It just won't be a fair fight for either of us to practice. I want to practice my magic and he likes to do hand to hand combat. It just doesn't work." I turned once again to resume my work out before finally giving up.
"Chicken." He muttered before walking out the door.
"BARTON," I yelled, clearly infuriated by my routine being messed up and just Barton being in my presence to begin with.
I could hear him laughing all the way down the hall.
