Hi guys!! I missed you all so much :) And I'm so very sorry that I haven't updated in a long time! Long story short: My jerk father took my iPhone 5c (the phone I use to do basically everything-including writing/updating on Wattpad) 2 months ago so I was stuck and phonless.

Anyway, I got a new phone, and I'm back with a new update! Thank you for sticking with me; you guys are seriously AMAZING! *internet hugs*

DISCLAIMER- I own nothing but the plot. And I love Rita Volk.

After the school dance, Amy and Karma had sort of drifted apart. They didn't mean to, it was just that the closer Karma and Liam got, the farther apart she and Amy became.

And while Karma did her thing with Liam, Amy began hanging out with Shane and Evan more. They slowly became good friends and started doing a lot together. It wasn't the same as being with Karma, but it would have to do. And it was actually fun.

Things were just changing, the girls were growing apart, sad as it was; it was just the lousy truth.

"Amy, honey, come on, I'll drive you to school before I head to work. Hurry and grab your stuff," Farrah said, putting on her coat and grabbing her keys.

"No, it's okay mom, you don't have to. I'm gonna walk to school with my friends," Amy said, shoving a spoonful of Cookie Crisps into her mouth, smiling.

Farrah froze, raising an eyebrow. "Friends? As in plural?"

The blonde set her spoon down, nodding slowly. "Uh, yeah. What's that supposed to mean?"

"Nothing, I suppose, it's just..I didn't know you had any friends-any friends other than Karma, I mean." Her mother was flustered and confused.

Amy shrugged, shoving a spoonful of cereal back into her mouth. "Yeah, well, things change," she said, mouth full. She didn't want to start her day off like this, but obviously her mom did.

"Don't talk with your mouth full," her mother said, setting her keys down and sitting next to her.

Amy sighed, already knowing where this was going.

"If you have new friends, that's good! It's always nice to meet new people..but..did something happen between you and Karma? One the days where you guys do walk to school, you walk together, and-"

"Everything's fine, mom. It's cool." Amy was resisting the urge to yell. "We're just not walking to school together for a while..I'm just going with my new friends. It's fine." She got up quickly, tossing her dishes into the sink, and grabbed her book bag before things got worse.

"Amy-"

"I gotta go," she said angrily, running out of the house.

Farrah sighed, getting up and deciding to leave too. As she got in the car, she drove off, wondering what was wrong with her daughter. She wasn't the same anymore-these days she'd been really tense and defensive, especially when it came to Karma.

She sighed, figuring it was just teenage hormones, and let it be. For now.

Amy met up with Shane and Evan at the corner by her house, as they usually did. She wasn't ready to tell her mom that her two new friends were a gay couple she'd met at the school dance while they were making out behind a tree.

She didn't need to, though. She just cared about being with them because now that Karma was in a relationship, they were all she had.

"Morning, sunshine!" Shane chirped, slinging an arm around his friend. His free hand was intertwined with Evan, the shyer of the two, who just waved at Amy with a small smile.
