Karma woke up the next morning, feeling different. Why would she have a dream about kissing Amy? She was her best friend and nothing more. Karma wasn't into girls and neither was Amy. Right..?
She felt a bit sick inside..it was just so weird. She'd had crazy dreams in the past-like the one about her getting chased by a giant pickle all through town (she woke up crying that night), but this by far was the most unexplainable.
She took a deep breath and tried to clear her mind, but visions of the dream kept floating through her mind. They wouldn't fade.
"Swim with me, Karma! The water is so cool!" Amy said, floating carelessly. She looked so good in her black lace swimsuit that showed off her perfectly toned torso and collarbones. Karma felt temptation rise inside of her body-her heart was racing, like the feeling when you miss a step while walking up the stairs, but it was constant, beating inside of her chest like a drum.
Karma gulped. She wanted Amy so badly-the way the blonde called her name was something magical.
"Karma, Karma, Karma..."
It was like an everlasting rhythm, echoing through her ears and in her head, almost like a song she could listen to all day.
The water was cool, just like promised, as Karma slowly made her way in. She had chills in her spine-but it wasn't because of the water.
Amy grinned, her bright green eyes sparkling like emeralds. "Hi, beautiful.." she whispered, swimming over to Karma gracefully.
At this point, Karma could feel her heart beating in her ears. Everything she'd ever known and done was coming into question. She was feeling things she didn't know she could feel..well, not towards a girl, anyway.
"H-Hi...I..Is..I-Is this a dream..?" The brunette asked slowly, looking down at Amy's hands. She placed them in hers and squeezed gently, casting all worries away.
"Just kiss me, Karma. You look so pretty in your bikini..kiss me like you love me." Amy brushed some wet dark hair out of Karma's brown eyes and smiled.
Karma tilted her head to the side as if she was a lost puppy. Kiss her? But aren't we just friends? At least, I think we are?
But...she does look like a goddess. I never noticed her bright her eyes were-they're like fresh leaves in a forest or something. And they sparkle, it's like if I look close enough I could almost see my reflection. And her lips...oh boy. They're so pink, and soft, and plump, and...and kissable.
Before Karma could think any further, she rushed to lean in and kiss the girl passionately. Electricity ran through her veins as she kissed her harder, their tongues dancing in perfect unison. She cupped the girl's strong cheeks in her hands and smiled into the kiss before releasing for air and pressing their foreheads together.
Karma took a deep breath. Did she really just do that? It didn't mean anything, did it..? She felt weak in the knees as she tried to register her thoughts and speak, but no words came out. Her breath had literally had been taken away.
That was when the dream ended, and Karma didn't know what to make of it. She'd never thought of Amy in any way besides a best friend, so this was all new and really scary. She tried to be rational-it was just some stupid dream, it wasn't real. And it wasn't going to be.
