Hi friends!! Short update for today, I hope you enjoy :D

DISCLAIMER- I own nothing but the plot and am not affiliated with Faking It, the cast/crew or anyone else involved. I am merely a socially awkward teenage girl who loves the show and writing mediocre gay fanfiction that makes people cry :))

Amy's heart dropped when she heard Karma on the other end of the phone.

Was this happening?

After weeks of them not speaking to each other, were things about to go back to normal..?

Amy gulped, her heart racing. "H-Hi, Karma.."

The brunette bit her lip to prevent from crying. She felt as if Liam's gigantic bathroom was caving in on her. All she knew was that she was missing her best friend more than she could handle and that it was time for things to turn around.

"Hey, Ames. Look...I-I-I.." She stopped, trying to choose her words carefully. She wanted to make things better, not worse.

If they could possibly get any worse?

"..I'm sorry," Karma said, before bursting into tears.

She was always so sensitive, but at a time like this, Amy couldn't blame her. She'd cry, too.

But she had to be the strong one here.

"Me too," the blonde replied, picking at a pillow on her couch. "Don't cry, okay? Let's just talk or whatever..how about that?"

Karma sniffled, wiping her tears. She was surprised Amy even wanted to talk to her after all that had happened.

"Okay.." She responded, sniffling more. "Well..I just wanted to say that I'm sorry for being a bad friend.

I just wanted you to be happy for me, but everything came crashing down and both of us are suffering, I can feel it.

I know that you're beyond angry with me, and I don't blame you-" she stopped, taking a few deep breaths and tried to pull herself together. "I love you, Amy. Okay? I know I screwed up as your best friend by letting a boy come between us, but I promise that I'll try to change.

You've been my best friend from the start and it was selfish of me to put Liam before you," she said in a soft tone, hoping he wouldn't hear her.

Amy couldn't believe her ears. She'd been waiting far too long to hear these words. Her face began to hurt from smiling so much as she spoke up.

"It's alright, Karma..w-we all make mistakes," she said, sighing. "Besides, you can't completely blame yourself..I wasn't a good friend, either.

I should've been more understanding when it came to Liam. I know how much you like him..I don't know, though, I guess I was just scared of losing you for good. I could never give you what he can.." She said, frowning.

Karma just shook her head, not caring that Amy couldn't see her.

"Listen to me, honey..Liam can't give me what you can, though. He can't make me laugh as much as you do, or give the best hugs, or do silly stuff like have burping contests or dance around in our underwear or sneak your mom's ridiculous Cosmopolitan magazines and laugh or get weirded out by the sex advice and stuff," she said, giggling. "That's all the things I do with you-because you're my best friend and that's how it's supposed to be.

I care about both you and Liam, and I need to do a better job of balancing between being a girlfriend and best friend. Just give me another chance, please?"

Amy didn't need to hesitate. Karma was right; they were too close to give up now. Liam Booker wasn't going to stand between them.

"You're totally right, K." She smiled, feeling happier with each passing second. "We survived the light up Sketchers phase, so we can definitely survive this." Both girls burst into a fit of laughter.

"I love you, Amy."

"I love you too, Karma."

Both girls made a plan to have a well needed sleepover, just like old times, before hanging up and going their separate ways.

Amy couldn't believe that she and Karma were friends again.

Not just friends, BEST friends.

---

After hanging out with Liam a little while longer, Karma walked home, being the happiest she'd been in a while. Of course she'd been happy with her boyfriend, but life was just a million times better when she had her best friend with her, too.

That night, she fell asleep, having a dream about Amy. The girl was in a bikini, running on the beach with her long, golden hair flowing behind her.

"Come swim with me, Karma," the girl had called, smiling.

Karma ran into the water, swimming happily with Amy. They splashed, and laughed, having a fun time until...

Karma reached in and kissed her best friend passionately.

Karma's eyes popped open, and she began breathing heavily.

"What? No, no, no.." she whispered, confused about the strange vision.

"It was just a dream. It's not real and it doesn't mean anything..right? Nothing at all. You like Liam, Amy's just your friend, and this was just a crazy dream. Go back to sleep, Karma..." She told herself.

The girl found it difficult to go back to bed, because a thought occurred to her that made her head spin...

Some dreams eventually turn into reality.
