Hi cuties! I'm feeling very inspired right now-probably because of the support/feedback from the last chapter; it was very risky writing Karma going through with her pregnancy into the book and I was actually scared you guys would hate me and stop reading but now I'm more hopeful about this :)

(3 Months Later)
"First day back to school, yay," Karma said dryly, walking down the stairs with her backpack and phone slowly. She was about three and a half months along, so she wasn't as fast as she used to be. "This should be fun."
Usually, she liked going to school. She was a good student with excellent grades and was very involved in extracurricular activities like choir and fashion club, but now things were different.
She feared that everyone would just stare at her like some type of freak as soon as she walked in the school-that they'd have their eyes glued to her and whisper cruel and judgmental things (or even shout them out) without any consideration for her feelings.
But then again, it was high school. People weren't going to be nice anyway.
"Oh, don't worry-sticks and stones, Karma," Molly said, grabbing her car keys. Initially, she hadn't treated her daughter so kindly after finding out she was pregnant-she'd said and done some really hurtful things that she now regretted, but she was starting to realize that the world was already going to throw enough hate and judgment at her daughter...she didn't need that in her own home, too.
"Easy for you to say," the girl sighed. "You weren't the school slut who got pregnant at 16."
Molly shook her head. "I may have not gotten pregnant in high school, but I was kind of the school slut," she admitted with an embarrassed look.
Karma's eyes widened as she almost choked on her orange juice. "Oh my gosh, really?"
"Yes, unfortunately. Let's just say I had an 'intense' teenage rebel phase...I dyed my hair firecracker orange, I smoked pot, I slept with a lot of guys who were jerks, to say the least." She frowned, as if it was all slowly coming back to her. "I was a mess, and one of the hardest parts about growing up like that was that I didn't have anyone who really cared about me or understood my feelings. No one ever really believed in me or that I could be better. My parents were always busy working their high corporate jobs and going out to fancy restaurants or on expensive luxury vacations and didn't really have time or interest in me or my siblings. Then, on top of that, I had two older sisters and an older brother who were the popular kids. Your aunt Brandy was the beauty queen and head cheerleader, aunt Kathy was the child prodigy who was smarter than everyone and had an older rich boyfriend, and uncle Tom was the sports star who all the girls were in love with. And me? I was just plain, old, ugly Molly with no friends. I was the misfit of the family that no one paid attention to, so I ended up acting out and making some pretty bad choices because I was lost," her eyes began to fill with tears, but she quickly blinked them away.
Karma sat there, frozen. Her mom had never confessed that to her-Molly was usually a happy go lucky and cheerful person; her daughter was just like her. So now that she was being so serious and honest, Karma saw a totally different side of the woman she thought she knew.
"..But you know, there's a happy ending. I wasn't a teenage disaster forever," she laughed, grabbing her daughter's hand. "I met your dad at my summer job when I was 17. I worked at a smoothie place down the road from my house and I hated it, until that day. It was a normal day, business was kind of slow, and suddenly, in walks this tall guy with long, messy blonde hair and beautiful green eyes. I still remember being kind of awestruck-it's really cheesy, I know, but I'd never seen someone so attractive. Anyway, he orders a smoothie-I had my friend take his order because I was far too shy-but then she forced me to bring him his smoothie...I was a nervous wreck. He was sitting at a table looking through a catalog of all these different exotic vehicles-he looked up at me and I lost it...God, I dropped the damn smoothie on the floor and it spilled all over us."
