Hi guys! New update, enjoy :-)
And I realized I never have the time to keep up with shows these days..like I legit don't watch tv anymore (except for rare occasions when I have time) so I haven't watched Faking It in foreveeerrr. Oops.
But good thing this is AU, so we can keep the ball rolling! :)
DISCLAIMER- I own nothing but the plot and am not affiliated with the cast and crew of Faking It. This is a work of fiction and I'm not making any profit.

(About a month and a half later)
"...So you just passed out?" Karma asked in disbelief as her best friend retold the story of receiving her mother's engagement news.
The blonde girl sighed, nodding. "Yup. It was like someone dropped a boulder on me or something. I dunno...but it was weird."
She initially had a hard time grasping the fact that her mother was getting married to another man-obviously she knew that her parents were NEVER getting back together, that ship had sailed years ago, but it was just a little scary accepting the fact that it wouldn't just be her and Farrah anymore.
But she did, and it was getting easier to deal with by the day. Bruce wasn't a bad guy-in fact, Amy had noticed that her mother was a lot happier when he was around, plus Farrah wasn't getting any younger..it was about time that someone put a ring on it.
Shane rubbed her back comfortingly. "Don't worry, maybe your new dad will buy you a lot of new stuff to like, win your affection or whatever. Like the movies-the angsty teen girl has mixed feelings about her new step dad, so he like, does all this stuff for her to make her l-oh...oh wait, no. That was a porno.." His cheeks heated up in embarrassment as he pulled out his phone.
Amy just rolled her eyes, chuckling. "Weirdo."
Karma laughed, changing the subject. "So..when are we going dress shopping for the big day?!" She asked excitedly.
"Tomorrow, actually!" Farrah chimed in, coming into the house with a bright smile. She was glowing. "..I planned out a girls day for us all! Me, you and Karma, and Lauren!"
A few seconds later, Lauren walked into the house with a stale look on her face. "Hello," she said flatly.
"..Hey, Lauren!" Karma greeted sweetly. She didn't let the girl's attitude faze her. Plus, she knew that Amy was still kinda having a hard time adjusting to this all, so she was determined to play nice and make sure everyone had a good time.
Shane smiled, not having met her before. "Hi-I'm Shane Harvey," he said.
"Interesting." Lauren faked a smile.
Shane faltered, then picked back up his cheerful attitude. "I love your sweater-Chanel, spring collection?"
Lauren was taken aback, smiling slightly. "Uh..y-yes. Good eye."
"I have a very detailed fashion sense, I can spot everything. From Chanel, to Dior...to the clearance rack at WalMart.." He said, whispering the last part.
This actually made Lauren laugh, much to everyone's surprise. She'd come in with intent to act as if she hated everyone and was so disinterested with this all, but this Shane kid wasn't so bad...yet.
"Let's walk and talk, hun," he said, as Lauren followed and the engaged in a conversation about fashion.
Farrah just kept smiling, and Amy was seriously getting freaked out. Her mother had NEVER been this happy.
