It's Okay?

Y/n looked at herself in the vanity mirror. She raised a brow at the outfit she was wearing. She let out a soft chuckle from her lips as she took in every piece of clothing. This was one of y/n's favorite outfits, and one that had the most memories to her.

"I-I took it from your closet where you had all your clothes for tour. I saw it and took it" Hailee said rubbing her arm. Y/n saw through the mirror, Hailee looking a little timid, taking a step back.

Hailee looked at y/n as she balled her hand into a tight fist before releasing it. Something about that small action threw Hailee off. Y/n looked like she really didn't want to preform, hated the idea but was only doing it for her. Hailee felt a little guilty. But she didn't know what else to do.

"Mr. Toven said he would give me an A for the rest of the year if I get you to preform" Hailee admitted. Y/n only raised a brow as she fixed the sleeve of her jacket.

"Ah so I'm just your golden ticket" y/n laughed. "Well it's a good thing then. At least you don't have to worry about getting married to someone lesser" shaking her head she began to walk towards the door but Hailee quickly caught her arm.

"What crazy person do you think would marry a begger like me? I don't have a relationship partner, I don't have a house, money, or pride, so I'm living with some celebrity who wants to play house and live in a real-life version of a high school movie. So what?"

"You're really are cute you know that" y/n gave Hailee a soft smile, pitching the young girls chin. Taking Hailee's hand in hers they walked out of the dressing room and out towards the back of the stage. Hailee could hear everyone talking, shouting their excitement both backstage and out in front. She took a peak out the curtains. Y/n did the same.

To Hailee it seemed the entire world was now assembled in the auditorium, waiting to see y/n preform-- a distinguished beauty who seemed to magically appear from legend and myth.

"How is it that i'm nervous and i'm not the one preforming" Hailee nervously laughed, backing away from the curtain. "Are you sure you're okay?"

"Please I played in arenas 100x this size. This is nothing" Y/n said coolly. She ran her fingers through her hair, brushing them back. Closing her eyes for just a moment. She took a deep breath, held it. One, two, three seconds then let it out softly. Doing this a couple of more times she finally opened her eyes. "Okay, i'm ready" the older girl clapped her hands together finding a new emotion. Adrenaline now pumping through her. "Do you have my set list"

"Set what?" Hailee said confused.

"My set list? The list of songs Im going to sing?" Y/n explained extending her hand. Hailee only placed her own hand on top of the older girls palm. "Hailee where are my songs?" She spoke once more.

"I uh... I don't have them"

"What do you mean you don't have them?"

"I-I didn't know you needed a set list. I thought you would get on stage and just sing"

"Just sing" Y/n slowly said.

"And dance"

"And dance" Y/n laughed unable to believe what she was hearing. "Im suppose to be preforming with the school band. What songs have they been practicing"

"Uh..." Hailee nervously laughed, rubbing the back of her neck. "C-can't we just ask one of the band kids. Maybe they know." The young girl suggested. Y/n didn't say anything, trying to not lose the few patients she still had left. Y/n only pointed towards the center stage where the band kids were warming up.

Hailee ran towards them, trying to get anyones attention.

Y/n walked back to the dressing room. She stood alone in the small room, staring at her reflection in the mirror-which looked back at her rather nervously. No body could have their life so completely change and not expect some level of anxiety. She was about to preform, and work out her body, pushing it to the limit. How long would she be able to last without feeling like she was on a boat floating in the mist of a storm, as the waves crashed hard on her. She was scared her boat would sink, falling into the deep waters.
