Light Rain

It was pretty late when y/n was finally dropping off the young girl. Through out the car ride, it was quiet. No one talked and not even the music could calm the tension that was suffocating Hailee.

Finally when they reached the run down apparent complex, Hailee noticed a few men moving something from her place to the back of a van. Her eyes widen, jumping out of the car quickly. Y/n got out, watching as Hailee ran towards them.

"What are you doing? Why are you taking someone else's stuff?" Hailee said, trying to get her stuff back, but one of the men pushed her back slightly. Y/n rushed towards Hailee side, grabbing her by her arm and pulling Hailee behind her. Y/n crossed her arms unfazed by the 2 men in front of her.

"Then pay off the debt quickly" one of the guys huffed.

"I am paying you. Are you trying to kill me?" Hailee said, anger in her voice. Y/n said nothing, watching the interaction but making sure the 2 guys didn't do anything. But she secretly hoped.

"Just when will you pay it off, by making the payment amounts the size of ants poop" the guys laughed. "We will probably die waiting for you to come and pay us back"

Y/n shut her eyes tightly reaching to grab her wallet. She pulled out all the cash she had. 2,000$ in hundreds and shoved it to the man's chest.

"Take this and give her, her stuff back" y/n firmly spoke. The man nodded to the back by the van and the other man, a skinny guy, with an uneven cut gave Hailee back a box.

"We took out your security deposit from your place just now." The man, counting the cash said. Y/n saw Hailee slowly leaving her side and walking towards the man.

"On who's orders?" Hailee said, voice shaking.

"Mine." The man said chuckling.

"Then... what about us? Where will my brother and I live?!" Hailee shouted.

"Why are you asking me?" The man shouted back, stepping closer to Hailee, and once again y/n pulled the young girl behind her.

"What kind of bullshit is this?! What kind of shit is this suddenly?!" y/n felt the anger and sadness, the defeated expression in Hailee.

The man reached his hand and y/n quickly grabbed it, pulling it behind him and pushing him away.

"Don't touch her," y/n said, in a sadistic way. She walked towards the man slowly, like a predator getting ready to jump on their prey. So much anger and emotion still in her, oh how she wish the man tried something again. She needed to release some stress that the world has caused her and she would be more than happy to take that unfairness and give it to someone who actually deserved it.

The man shook his arm trying to get rid of the pain. "I won't end it like this the next time. I'll bring the waver you wrote, for your body."

"Fine bring it" Hailee shouted once more. "Why don't you kill me instead?"

"You're not dying" y/n angrily shouted at Hailee causing her to jump back a little. "And you" Y/n turned back to the two loan sharks taking a step closer to the main leader. She grabbed him by his shirt and punched him square in the face causing him to stumble back and lose his balance. She walked towards him again, pulling him up by his shirt. She squatted down to eye level. "I told you not to touch her. Next time I have to remind you, I won't be so kind as to use words"

"Who are you? Do you know her?" The one with the messy hair said walking towards the young girl. Y/n didn't bother to move from her spot, and she felt Hailee grab a hold of her arm almost begging her to stop interacting with them. The grip only tighten when the man was now inches from y/n's face. Hailee pulled y/n up and backed her away from them.
