What I Want Is?

Hailee could already taste the blood in her mouth as she got up. She had bitten the inside of her lip when she felt the fist of her assailant collide into her jaw before stumbling. She focused on it as she stood, stumbling back until her back pressed against the wall behind her. Her head hanging between her shoulders. The strange copper taste that made you want to spit it out immediately, like you'd eaten something that wasn't food at all.

She didn't want her assailants to get that satisfaction, so she swallowed it instead. She already knew Ariana and her band of misfits would have been over the moon to see that Hailee was bleeding.

She could hear Kylie and Kendall laughing at her, knew exactly the look on Ariana's face even though she couldn't see it. She could probably guess what Ariana would say next in that calm, amused voice of hers that seemed to mimic every adult you never wanted to meet.

"Be careful of the steps there," Ariana said. "you might fall"

Yep, that'd be about right.

The 3 friends looked at one another, laughing before Kendall took out her water bottle and poured it all over Hailee's head. The 3 laughed some more before leaving.

Hailee's legs had given out and slid down onto the floor. This time she did spit out the remains of blood in her mouth.

Composing herself, she took a deep breath, combing her fingers through her hair to try to make it look decent again. Last thing she wanted was for the teachers to question why she looked a mess. Not like they would care to know about the bullying, they never did.

Hailee wasn't surprised at the least when she got out of class to use the bathroom and was sucker punched in the face by the people who had been making her life hell for the past 4 years. How was this any different from the other times she had been beaten up. Oh yeah, it was y/n.

Hailee scoffed at the thought that never left her mind since first period.

Her bullies angry that their celebrity crush was sitting next to her of all people. Mad that she, a well know pop star didn't even acknowledge their existence but rather someone beneath them. Someone as pathetic as, Hailee.

She looked at her phone, happy that class would be out any minute and then it would finally be lunch. Where she can escape the hell that was the school and go out with her best friend across the street to get something to eat. Perks about being a senior was leaving campus to grab some lunch. At least then she could breathe without having the need to look over her shoulder.

"Here"

Hailee didn't need to lift her head to know it was Taylor handing her her backpack that she left in class. She didn't have to lift her head to see the concern expression her best friend was giving her. Everything was always the same. She knew everyones reactions like the back of her hand that she didn't have to lift her head to know that it was the same movie, just a different day.

"Thanks" hailee mumbled taking the backpack from her friend. She stood up, wiping off whatever might of stuck to her while she sat on the ground.

"I told you not to leave the class." Taylor said.

"Well I really needed to use the bathroom." Hailee shrugged.

"Hailee"

"It wasn't as bad as last time."

"Is that why you're all wet, and have a bruise forming on the corner of your lip?"

"You should see Ariana."

"Hailee?"

"Im fine Taylor," Rolling her eyes, Hailee pushed past her friend and began walking away from the corridors. It was peaceful for a moment. That was until the bell rang and the students were running, screaming and hollering about lunch time. It became so rowdy and noisy, she felt that was amping up the headache she was now getting.
