" Elmo, anak! Napadalaw ka! Akala ko sa labas na lang tayo palagi magkikita."
Jonathan ecstatically said as soon as he saw Elmo standing in front of the wicket when he opened it without noticing his daughter on his side.
" Tito Jon!"
Elmo said as ecstatic as Jonathan, he stepped out of the wicket, Elmo took a step closer to hug Julie's father.
The two men hugged, Julie looked shocked, unable to move or say something seeing the two important men in her life get along so well after years they didn't see each other.
' Wait…they were still seeing each other even after we broke up? Without me knowing? "
" Ang galing ng timing mo parekoy, wala pa si Julie. Dito kana magdinner, pasok tayo. "
" Tito, hindi ba sinabi ni Ate Sue? "
Elmo wondered.
" Wala naman. Sinabi lang nya na may pinuntahan si Julie kasama sina Barbie. "
Elmo didn't reply but his gaze darted to Jonathan's side. Jonathan followed Elmo's gaze and he was taken aback seeing Julie who looked as puzzled as him.
" Uy. Nandito kana pala anak. (Jonathan flashed a teasing smile) Magkasama kayo? "
Julie and Elmo looked at each other.
" Bakit ko pa ba tinatanong ang obvious naman? Hahaha. Pasok na kayo mga anak. Kaya pala abala sila sa pagluluto, ikaw pala parekoy ang bisita. "
Julie stepped inside and hurriedly went inside their house leaving Elmo and her father behind.
She didn't know how or what to react after she found her father and Elmo remain close, keep in touch with each other even after their break up.
' Eh di ba dapat masaya ka, they remain close even after your break up. But Papa didn't bother to tell me...nagtanong ka ba? But he should tell me. I feel betrayed...betrayed? Julie's thoughts were preoccupied that she didn't notice her mother was approaching.
Marivic and Julie almost bumped into each other.
" Julie Anne, nandito kana pala. Saan ka ba nanggaling? Anyare sayo? Kung di pa ako umiwas nagkabanggaan na tayo."
Marivic cannot help but notice.
Before Julie could answer her mother, Sue butted in who was just behind Marivic.
" Julie, nandito na pala kayo. Nasaan si Elmo?"
" Elmo? ( Marivic smile that turned into a grin, a teasing grin…same with the reaction of her father earlier.) So si Elmo pala ang sinasabi mong kaibigan ni Julie, Sue? Kaya pala sinabi mong maghanda ng hapunan."
Julie suddenly forgot her resentment because of her mother's reaction, she couldn't help but laugh.
" Hala! Si Mama. "
And Marivic's gaze passed her as she saw her husband approaching with a fine, good looking man beside him.
" Anak! Elmo ikaw nga, buti naman naisipan mong dumalaw."
Marivic said and gazed at Julie before she walked to Elmo.
Julie rolled eyes and shrugged her shoulders.
