Bago matapos ang buwan ng September pinatawag ng Universal Records si Elmo at ina niya para sa bagong single na naman ng binata.
"Mosey where are you?" tanong kaagad ng ina niya nang sinagot niya ang tawag nito.
"Condo's parking lot Mom, about to go na."
"Okay... good. Early bird huh. What's the important thing you want to tell me ba? Ahmmn okay. Just drive safe son. See you in a bit."
" I'll tell you later Mom. But i hope you'll give us the chance this time... see you. Take care mom."
Pagkatapos nagdrive na siya patungo sa UR.
Dahil mas malapit ang condo niya, nauna siyang dumating kesa sa ina.
Pagdating niya nadatnan niya ang mga bosses ng UR sa lobby ng building. Lumapit siya sa mga ito.
" Hey Elmo! Come here. Ang gwapo natin ah."
"Thank you po. Mom is on her way na."
Habang papunta ng conference room magkatabi sila ni Ms. Cathy Go na naglalakad.
"Elmo, why not consider a collaboration with Julie Anne? Every now and then may nangungulit ng collab niyo sa twitter, sobrang ingay ng clamour sa collab niyo. Ano bang problema talaga bakit it's so hard--"
"Ms Cathy, it's okay. I'm open with it na po. I have no contract with star magic na po so i think we could work it na po. Is Julie open to work with me?" napangiti siya sa tanong niya dahil alam na alam niya ang sagot dito, he was just pretending lang para di naman ma shock si Ms. Cathy.
" Really?! I'm very happy to hear that Elmo! Matagal nang ready yun, ikaw lang naman ang hinihintay. And i have people to introduce you pala, they're interested to offer something for you." nakangiting lingon sa kanya ni Ms. Cathy.
Bumukas ang conference room at nagbigay galang siya sa mga taong na nandun na ang iba ay familiar sa kanya ang ang iba ay hindi... At Naupo siya sa bakanteng upoan na nakalaan para sa kanya at sa mama niya.
He's having a light converstaion with the bosses when the door opened again.
"I'm sorry, got stuck in a traffic."
"It's okay Ms. Pia."
Umikot siya para umupo sa tabi ng anak. Tumayo naman si Elmo, hinila ang silya para sa ina... Humalik siya sa pisngi ng ina at bumalik sa upoan.
"Okay let's get this straight. I think you know the people behind One Music who would produce another single for Elmo... So I'll introduce you to Ovation Production team, this is Mr. Willard Tan and Ms. Rhea Chui. This is Elmo Magalona and Ms. Pia Magalona, Elmo's mom."
Matapos magkipag shake hands pinag usapan na nila kaagad ang sadya ng Ovation productions.
" Elmo, how long you've here in entermainment world?"
" Ten years? Right mom?"
" Yeah, he started 2010, so he's ten years in the industry now."
"Kasi mam... Hmmnn we noticed that Elmo never had his own concert yet and our boss want to produce it, if you agree and also one of our company's partner. Since it's your 10th year anniversary lang din so..."
"Oh..that's interesting. But son, are you okay with it?"
"Mom, you know... Ahmmn.. I.. I'm not sure if i'm ready. I--"
"Don't worry about the ticket sales Mr. Magalona. It's our job, the promotions and all. If you're okay with it, you just have to concentrate on your performance nd we're thinking to have a guest that will give an impact too. Like Julie Anne San Jose?"
