                                Chapter 4

Elmo was so drunk that he slept on the coffee table in the veranda and woke up with the beautiful sunset. If the situation was different he was taking pictures of the sunset by now. With head pounding he vomited successively, halos mailuwa na niya rin ang kanyang intestines but somehow he felt a little better dahil nailuwa niya ang alcohol sa katawan.

When he recovered it was already dark and the city were alive with the city lights everywhere.

" Fuck! Lord, why not take my life now?! Do you really love seeing me suffering? How long do you want me to suffer? Am I this bad? Ano ba ang kasalanan ko?! Everything that I've done was wrong! Wala na akong nagawang tama! Fuck this life! "

Elmo was screaming, letting out all his frustration in life before he threw the bottle of Jack Daniels in the air as he slowly slid down to the floor crying.

Elmo stayed in the veranda looking blankly in the air after a few minutes of crying.

' Pull yourself together, Elmo. It's not the end of the world, it's just the beginning of something new and something great… You have to stay positive…don't give up. Babae lang yan, di ba? Nah. It's not about Ryanne. Can't you see? My life is a mess… I'm a total failure, everything…every relationship and woman I'm with they left me...my career, still afloat…my family? I hope Maxx and Saab realized that because of their worthless fight they're making our family apart. Then Instead of worrying about what you cannot control, shift your energy to what you can create. Don't be pushed around by the fears in your mind. Be thankful for everything that happens in your life, it’s all an experience. Learn from it. I know you can do better. Stop ruining your life with alcohol, Elmo. It's easier said than done. C'mon…learn to appreciate life itself...start by feeding yourself dinner…you haven't had anything yet after your breakfast. And you haven't thanked the food sender yet. It's not necessary. But yeah, I have to eat now. And please stop drinking. If you want a better life, start working for it now by starting within yourself. I know. And Julie? How about her? I don't have anything to do about her… She has a better life, a better future without me, leave it that way. '

Since the covid-19 pandemic he was used to talking to his inner self. He shook his head before he stood up and walked his way to the kitchen.

Elmo preheated the food Julie sent him.

After an hour he was in the living room when his cell phone rang. He looked at the wall clock before he grabbed his cell phone on the table.

' It's already past nine in the evening, It's probably Mom, I haven't talked to her for a while now. Ugh. I should've moved to Antipolo. Living here alone sucks!'

Without checking who the caller was, Elmo answered the call.

After dinner Julie spent time with her family in the living room watching a movie with her family but her mind was somewhere else, she was staring at the tv blankly.

She decided to leave and sneaked to their mini bar. She took one bottle of wine and took the stairs up to her room.

She went straight to her balcony and poured her wine glass full of wine.

Almost one hour passed and she had half of the wine bottle. As the alcohol took her system she went to her room with the wine glass and bottle of wine in her hands. She went straight to her room veranda and sat in front of the coffee table and the wine glass and the bottle in front of her. She took her cell phone in the right pocket of her sweat pants.

She dialed the first number on her call history. .

It took three rings before someone answered the other line.
