Chapter 11
The conversation that Julie and Elmo had on Saturday night turned out so well that they both look forward to it every chance they get out of their busy schedules.
And fate must have take Julie's side, she's not the only one sending food this time… Elmo send her food too and her favorite coffee everyday. He send her food from her ate Unna's restaurant.
And every night they didn't sleep without talking with each other in video chat but not tonight because Julie's not finished with her taping yet…at two in the morning she had a few more scenes to be taken.
Two weeks passed since Julie and Elmo's lock-in shoot started, they got busier and busier but today was the busiest with Julie.
Elmo finished his scenes before midnight and was just laying in bed trying to get to sleep but sleep was hard for him, his mind was occupied with no one but Julie Anne San Jose. He was waiting for her text that said pack up, but until the clock hit at 1:00 in the morning still he didn't receive any...and at 2:00 AM he jumped off of the bed, took an Adidas sweatpants and a hoodie. Hurriedly took his keys and walked out of his room, leaving Arkin in his deep slumber.
Elmo talked to the resort guard, but the guard didn't let him go out because it was against the resort protocols. But Elmo was really persistent and he promised to get back before 3:00 or 3:30 in the morning because Luljetta's Garden Suites where Julie stayed is just a few minutes drive from Cristina Villas Resort where Elmo and the rest of the movie crew stayed.
On his way, Elmo stopped at an open coffee shop that he passed on his way to the resort where Julie was staying…he bought two cups of mocha Frappe and two clubhouse sandwiches and two more extra coffee for the guards. He knew even with coffee Julie could still sleep knowing how the day wore her out.
Elmo stopped a few meters away from the main entrance of Luljetta's Garden Suites when he could see the crew of Heartful Cafe busy from taking scenes before the guard of the resort approached him.
The guard knocked on the window on the driver's side… Elmo lowered down the windows.
" Good evening po, Sir. Sorry po pero bawal po tumambay dito, Sir."
" Oh… Hello po. Hmm. Can I wait here until Julie Anne San Jose finishes her scene? I won't take long pi, I just need to give her something. Promise I won't be a bother,po."
" Pasensya na po, Sir. Bawal po sa policy ng resort."
" Sir, I just came from Mandaluyong po just to see my girlfriend (He stretched his head a little out of the window and he smiled.) kahit sandali lang po. "
Elmo pleaded.
The guard somehow recognized him, he grew up in Antipolo anyway and who wouldn't recognize the son of a master rapper?
" Ay. Kayo po pala, sir. Anak po kayo ni Sir Francis Magalona? "
" Opo, Kuya. Elmo… Elmo Magalona."
Elmo extended his hand for a handshake. The guard took his hand.
" Regie Sta. Cruz po. Pasensya na po kayo sir, hindi ko po kayo nakilala kaagad."
The guard apologetically said.
" It's okay, Regie. I bought an extra here. "
Elmo handed the coffee to the guard.
" Nag abala pa po kayo, sir… Salamat po."
The guard accepted the coffee.
" Taga saan po pala kayo? "
