As Elmo drove their way to Julie's condo she was like a child snoring in her deep slumber and only opened her eyes when Elmo woke her up after he parked in Victoria Towers parking lot, in the basement.
" Baby? We're here. Let's get you upstairs so you can sleep comfortably."
She stretched both her arms before she opened her eyes.
" Sorry, I was falling asleep."
" It's okay."
He answered her wearing his killer smile, a smile that took her breath away. He hurriedly got out of the car and turned on her side to open the door for her.
Like earlier, one hand was on the top of her head to protect her from bumping her head on the car's roof, while his other hand was holding her hand guiding her to get out of the car.
" Can you still walk or I will just carry you?"
He said with a worried voice.
" Of course… I was just sleepy a while ago but I'm good now. (She answered him, amused. She bit her lower lip to prevent herself from laughing. She couldn't help it, he was so cute…how could she not fall in love with this man all over again and again if he's as caring, loving and protective of her? Since they were teenagers he treated her with so much respect, love and care.) I had a good nap, so thanks to you. Let's get upstairs na? "
She kissed his cheeks, she knew she made him blush though she couldn't see it because the lights in the parking lot were dim.
Elmo just nodded his head. and opened the door on the back seat and took the tea and the food. He suddenly became speechless because Julie Anne never failed to make him giddy too… A simple kiss on his cheeks made him giddy.
Silently he took the food and carried it in one hand, and Julie coiled her hand on his arms, on his free hand.
" Do you still remember where exactly my unit floor is?"
Julie asked, they were inside the elevator now.
"Of course I do."
He said as he punched the floor where Julie's unit was.
" Okay, let's see if you still remember my pass codes."
" You mean?"
Elmo with a puzzled look.
" I didn't change it… I don't know… I just don't feel like changing it. "
She answered with all honesty.
Elmo is in a swirl of emotions after hearing what Julie Anne said.
He was silent for a few seconds as he tried to compose himself.
" Oh… I thought… I mean we, we never spoke with each other for a long time and---"
" I've never been here for a long time…you know we had a lot of memories here…it's too painful to be here."
And no one spoke again…the elevator was so silent, deep emotions stirred.
His free hand reached for Julie's waist, he held her closer…she instantly put her hands around his waist, rested her head in between his armpit and chest…and he kissed her forehead before the elevator emit a sound, indicating they arrived at their destination before it stopped.
He let Julie get out of the elevator first and followed her.
They walked with their hands intertwined and stopped in front of the door with blue and orange capital letters hanging…
