Chapter 27: A Hunter's Knife
A/N: Ok, so long story. Sorry for the late update, I was going to update last night but here's what happened: I finished the update on a separate thing, and I tried to copy it when BAM! It was all gone, but I got it back this morning so, enjoy!
-Sapphire's POV-
A hand prodded me and I turned around on the bed I was in. Wait how did I even...
I let out a muffled scream as a buff guy wrapped his huge hand over my mouth. He had a snarl drawn on his lips as he looked over to the man from last night. He was right next to me with his hands around me protectively. Had we slept together? I was so stunned that for a second I forgot about the man holding my mouth.
"Get out of the bed!" The man commanded, still holding tight to my mouth. I gently hot put the man from last night's grasp, even with him half asleep still trying to hold on, and got up. The buff man grabbed me and held me close, with only a knife blade in between us. It was pressed up against my neck hard. Just reaction, I kicked the man and he went tumbling backwards, but instead of running away I ran to the man in the bed. I shook him as hard as I could.
"Help me, please!" I pleaded. He stayed still, as if he had died in the middle of night. Yet, I could seen his chest rising and falling. The buff man regained his step and threw me against a wall, possibly breaking my spine. I couldn't feel anything from the waist down and I knew that wasn't good. I sat and watched as he threw the covers of thw bed away, revealing the man's bare chest. He swung his heavy sword st the only person I knew, and left a huge gash across his whole chest. The man in the bed gasped, opening his eyes. Then they closed, and he was still. I could see the blood filling up the bed.
"Noooo!" I screamed, watching the hunter (as I call him) walk over towards me. I pushed myself against the wall as much as I could, but my limp legs were just laying in front of me. He grabbed them, and the sudden jerk of my body sent pain like fire run through my body. "AHHHHHHH!"
"Shut up! You are super annoying, so be quiet unless you want to join your friend," the hunter snapped, pulling me over his back and I think snapping my spine even further, and I lost feeling up to two inches above my shoulders. Moving my arms grew harder, and I knew that soon I might not be able to move anything.
"I'd rather be with him then in pain with you!" I snapped at him smacking his back. He growled and took his knife out. He threw me onto the floor with a lard whack and the wind flew out of me. The hunter watched as my eyes grew hazed and everything around me grew blurred. Everything was so fuzzy and blurred, so I didn't notice anything going on. All I saw was the hunter take his knife, and bring it to my throat. I felt the cold blade dig through my skin in my neck, inching closer to the center. Before he got any further, someone pulled him off of me but the knife stayed in my throat. My blood flowed free and I knew I was dying. My savior tried to reach me, but got pulled back and the fight continued. Everything slowed down, and my eyes blackened at the edges. I couldn't stop it, so I gave up. I let the black envelop my vision, and I chose my own death.
-Aragorn's POV-
I felt my heart fall, and the breathe left my body. I fell against a wall and clutched at my chest, trying to breathe. Something was wrong, not with me, but with Sapphire. I couldn't hold it in, and everyone ran to help me.
"Aragorn! ARAGORN!" Kili shook me by my shoulders, but that only pushed my head to the side. I had no power to respond to anyone/anything anymore. I took a shaky breathe, then my strength came back and my head shot up. The sensation hit me like a bullet from a gun. The feelings had come from Sapphire, as she took in her dying breathe.
