Piling up

Chapter 2: piling up

I woke up on the sofa in my office at I.G.B headquarters. Yes, I have my own sofa and my own office. How did I get here? Last thing I remember is last night's complete meltdown and nothing else.

"Morning sleepyhead" a voice said gently. I blinked a few times and looked to see Flora next to me. "We haven't really spent that much time together so I thought" she pulled out two tickets to the pool.

"Thank you" I said smiling. I let out a little yawned and realized that there was clothes and a bathing suit on the coffee table next to the couch. Yes, I have a coffee table as well. "Could you give me a minute to change?" She nodded and walked out.

I quickly changed into the pink bikini and put the navy blue shorts and yellow tank that were chosen for me over it. I walked out of the office and saw a lot of people practicing fighting and many people on different mainframes working. Flora was waiting at the back door with two towels. Casually I strolled over to her.

"Ready?" she questioned. I nodded and we set off to the pool.

We headed towards the parking lot and she took out a pair of keys. She threw them at me and I caught them. They had a black key on the chain and a price of leather that read 'speed of lightning'. I was to busy looking at the keys that I lost where Flora was and wandered lost in the large parking lot. Finally I found her and she was leaning up against a motorcycle that was black with flames across the side and in yellow there was writing that said 'lightning'.

"You didn't!" I screamed like a little girl.

"No... we all did" she replied giggling. She watched me as I inspected the vehicle. Tears formed in my eyes and I ran over to give her a huge hug.

-Flora's POV-

Sapphire's face was priceless that I couldn't help but click a picture while she wasn't looking at me. Her hug was warming an welcoming and I was happy that I had clicked the happy button on her.

"Come on" I said "let's go test this baby out!" Her face lit up like a little kid's on Christmas when they got something they had wanted for years.

She ran and hopped on the front and I got rear. She took the key and put in the ignition. The roar of the engine made me smile as well as Sapph. I have to admit as we swerved onto the road I was kinda scared that she was going to kill us but we arrive at the pool in one piece. I hand the nice lady life guard our tickets and we head to the pool. Quickly I rubbed sunscreen onto my pale skin and Sapphire rubbed some into her pale skin. He both held hands and jumped in. No one else was in the pool so we could do whatever we wanted but there was another reason why I rented it for ourselves. I looked down at Sapphire's legs and smiled.

"Look down" I told her and she did. She gasped.
