Chapter 32: Can I save them?
-Rishardo's POV-
Sapphire must have set up a decoy necklace to fool the others, but I know that this is the real thing. If I do have the real one though, does that mean... could I save her and everyone that follows her? Could I finally destroy all the darkness that wells up inside of me when no one else is there? Before I had time to think anymore, the nurse came back in. She seemed so nice and innocent, but I couldn't trust her.
"Is there anything I can help you with, Rishardo?" involuntarily, I flinched at my name, but still managed to reply.
"Ice cream," I replied quickly. She nodded, and walked away. Quickly, I sat up and looked down. How could I get out of this hospital if I don't even have two legs? Before thinking of anything else, I slipped on Sapphire's necklace. The two necklaces fused together to create one full heart necklace and magic flew out of it and rapped itself around the tiny stub of a leg I had. Out of nowhere, I now had a robotic leg. Apparently the necklace couldn't heal the leg, but it did give me what I needed to escape. I pushed myself off of the bed and landed on my legs. At first I was unstable for a few seconds, but then I got used to it and headed out of the room. I peeked my head put of the room to see what was going on and found that only 1 or 2 were standing there, and they were watching another room. I stood up straight and headed to the room. In it, lying on a cot, was a screaming, tiny child. My heart lurched and I could almost hear Sapphire whispering in my ear, "save the child."
Before I could stop myself, I lunged into the room and snatched the child. The guards were stunned, but stood in front of the door to stop my exit. I looked back and saw a window 10 feet behind me. I ran forward and as the guards went to grab me, whipped around and ran towards the window. They shouted for me to stop but I just kept running... then I jumped.
Flora's POV
I breathe in.
I breathe out.
And it doesn't smell like home.
I open my eyes and look around. It's white, like a pure white room. I'm wearing white, but I'm in my natural form. Hmm. A dark angel in white clothes in a white room. Where's this gonna go? I see two figures walking towards me. They are blinding me with a bright light, and my body instinctively sets itself on fire, bubbles water around the fire, and vines and dirt make another layer around me, and I'm able to give myself plenty of oxygen with just my hands. And then a hand breaks through my walls. Then an arm, and eventually their whole body.
The person doesn't look okay though.
I think it's a girl. She looks like she was mangled in a car crash.
A CAR CRASH.
"Yeah, it was a car crash. You were there," she replied, and I realized I screamed that out loud.
"S-S-S-Sapphire?" I questioned. She just nodded her head. I just looked into her eyes. I saw pure love behind them. But all I could feel emanating off of me was hate.
We were total opposites.
"Who did this? They hurt you. They will pay. I can't even believe that... Oh my god... And then there was... And the attack *sob* I can't even. IM SO SORRY." I screamed at the top of my lungs, my life folding up in front of me. I pushed everything to the side, into some deep dark part of my mind.
My eyes turned black, and Sapphire backed out to allow me some room, but she didn't leave, she only expanded the bubble. She was using the fire to expand it.
I knew my hair was fire.
I knew my hands were water.
I knew my legs were earth and life.
And I knew my eyes were empty air.
"Let me put away these memories for you," said my mother in my mind.
I knew my heart was ice.
I knew my mind was stone.
And I know now, that I am a true dark caster.
Nothing can change that. Nothing will change that.
And I smiled.
I smiled an evil smile.
