Chapter 17: cold-hearted tar
-Sapphire's POV-
He took my father. He took Joseph. He's hurt me so much in so many ways. I won't think twice. Heck I won't even think once about this. I am killing the Tar Monster no matter what and one thing is for sure... HE IS NOT MY BROTHER!
"How is she alive?!" A scream came from a far distance away, yet I still pressed myself against a wall in defense. I started walking to where I heard the noise.
"I don't know" I heard a whimper as I got closer to where I thought T.M was. It was Aragorn!
My heart told me to scream "I'm hear dad! I'm coming!" For some reason though my brain told me to stay hidden and keep walking. Ahead of me there was a sharp corner and I knew as soon as I took it I would be face-to-face with T.M. I could still feel his cold breath from when he choked me to "death". I was so caught up in thought that I lost track of mind and kicked a rock, sending it flying forward. Uh oh. I crushed myself against the wall as I saw T.M sliding towards where I was.
"Where are you?" He called playfully "I won't hurt you"
"Sapphire if you're there don't..." Aragorn was silenced by the sticky tar hand of T.M. I felt my right hand move anxiously to feel the hilt of my sword. This... Would soon be in the back of T.M's throat. There was a brief silence before T.M spoke again.
"Must have been a rat" T.M growled sounding a little disappointed. I peeked around the corner. A growl rumbled in my throat at what I saw. Aragorn was dangling by his neck which T.M was holding and his body was pressed against a wall. Compared to T.M he seemed so small and helpless and I guess in this situation, he was. I can tell that T.M's grip isn't that tight at this moment but was tightening my the second. Aragorn struggled against this but it was hopeless and the Tar Monster to "help" ripped off Aragorn's sword and armor leaving him bare, in a regular long sleeve black shirt and jeans. This was my chance, so I took out Eclipse and held her in both hands facing her in a forward position. I stepped forward out of the dark and stood in the middle of the hall in front of my unbrother.
"I thought you were dead" he gasped in surprise looking away from his prey.
"Well here I am!" I yelled and lunged at the beast with full power. He looked at me in shock as I plunged my sword in his stomach (or what I thought was his stomach, trust me you really can't tell).
"Sister!" he cried.
"I am not your sister!" I growled at him. At first he seemed stunned but then his gape turned into a wicked grin. "You think you can kill me that easily? Think again!"
Before I knew it a super strong force sent me flying backwards. Aragorn was thrown aside ,hit a wall and as far as I know, was unconscious. A look of concern washed over my face but was replaced with a scowl. I slowly and painfully got to my feet.
"You... You killed Joseph. You hurt my father. You're taking everything away from me!" I screamed at him and he backed up.
"It was all for the greater good... me" he said calmly smiling. I looked over to Aragorn. He was splayed out on the ground and his eyes were closed. I made a run for it and with my super fast speed was in front of him with my sword held high. The Tar Monster was not going to get to my father. "How cute. The strongest leader ever for the I.G.B and she's going to die to save... Daddy!"
The mock didn't effect me. Calmly I let my sword go to my left hand. I bent down and with my right hand shook Aragorn awake as soon as I touched him he bolted upright.
"Wha... what's going on?" He asked confused. I pushed him behind me in a protective stance.
"Don't worry. It's just business!" The last but came more of a snarl as I lunged at T.M. He stopped all my efforts in attacks and as my sword was raised sprayed something at me. I backed away stunned and Aragorn ran towards me. Everything else seemed to be in a large blur but I remember hearing and seeing Aragorn kicking and screaming as he was carried away by T.M. My world was fuzzy and I heard my sword drop. I started to fall backwards and then blacked out completely.
-Kili's POV-
I ran to catch Sapphire as she fell towards the bare concrete floor. She felt warm in my arms and her eyes were closed.
"Is she...?" Fili said enough for me to understand his fear.
"No, brother. Only sleeping." I replied standing up with Sapphire in my arms. Brother Falspar appeared out of nowhere and came running towards me.
"Is she ok? What happened? Can she hold out Flora's reawakening?" His questions buzzed through my head and I put my hand up to quiet him.
"She fine. I don't know. I have no clue." I replied quickly and then looked around. "Where's Aragorn?"
