Vincent

I was staring at Ezra as she was lying on the sand with her arms sprawled out, topless. The kids had finally fucked off long enough for Ezra and I to actually enjoy our vacation, aka letting me watch Ezra sunbathe naked.

We were in the midst of week two on our vacation on our private island in Bali; The Saint Ezra.

The island I gifted to her on her 21st birthday.

I always made sure to go above and beyond for her on her birthday. I knew her father didn't do anything for her when she was growing up, and I wanted to make them all special for her.

Vincent," She looked at me over the top of the paper, "Tell me you didn't buy me a fucking island."

"I may have bought you an island, sweetheart."

She read the paper again and again, confirming the purchase of the Saint Ezra, "Oh my god, I have an island." She cheered and I couldn't help but smile, "You have an island!"

I was admiring my sunbathing wife, when I asked her the question that had been swirling in my head for weeks, "Wanna have another baby?" I asked her, and she smiled, "Vincent."

"C'mon," I told her, "What's another after four?"

Yeah, we had a fourth.

A few years after Roman was born, we had girl number two, Charlotte. It took a little convincing on my end, but after I reminded her of that new baby smell she was on board almost instantly.

But now that Charlotte was getting older, I had the itch again. I loved a pregnant Ezra, I always found her beautiful no matter what, but there was something about her round belly, and cute little walk that made me love her a little something else.

"You know, we've given that IVF clinic a healthy amount of money," She told me, "We should've seen if they had any bogo deals, or punch card options." She giggled, and I couldn't help but laugh in return. As I went to reply, Ezra and I heard a high pitched scream from beside us on the beach, and we looked over to see Donnie covering his eyes.

Yes, Donnie and Lucas were on our family vacation.

I quickly took my shirt off, handing it to Ezra who put it on. We told Donnie he could take his hands off his eyes, and he shook his head, "Why do you not have a shirt on?!" He screeched, rubbing his face.

A frown took over on my face, "It's literally her island, dumbass." I told him, and he narrowed his eyes at me.

Donnie and Lucas were forced to come on our family vacation. Noah had refused to come without Lola, Lola refused to come without her dads, and Ezra refused to come without Noah.

It was a never ending circle of hell, and moral of the story; Noah and Lola were trouble.

He reminded me a lot of myself when I was younger; stubborn, but confident. Lola reminded me of a more outgoing Ezra, sweet, but knew when to be serious, and most importantly, she made Noah happy.

Maeve was originally the heir to the title, but she declined, telling her mom and I she felt it was too much pressure, so that left it to Noah.

Noah was very sure of himself, and would never say it out loud, but very happy to take the title. When Maeve stepped down, I overheard him telling Lola it was his dream to be the Don, and she supported him wholeheartedly.

We were sitting at the dinner table, and I was watching my whole family talk while they ate, and yes, I considered the Marchetti's my family now. We'd probably be in-laws in a few years, so it was better to accept it now rather than be salty about it later.

As I looked around, I couldn't help but thank my little Ezra. Without her, I wasn't sure where I would be, but the thing is; I'd never know, and I was okay with that.
