--Tessa's POV-

We had all finished unpacking and everyone else was asleep. I had napped in the car, so I was pretty energized. I was, however, getting sort of hungry. We were on the road now, almost to the first concert location. There were a lot of other busses around us, so I figured there were other bands coming from the same lot. I grabbed my journal and began to write.

'We were greeted by a large, black bus with a luxurious interior, but 5 months in cramped living spaces can take it's toll on everyone.'

I set my notebook down and pushed the curtain aside, entering the boy's area. I smiled at CC's light snore before heading into the half kitchen. I could see a large parking lot with several other busses, most of them smaller than ours, parked near each other. Lot's of people were moving boxes and equipment, and a little ways off I could see a stage or two. We must be here. "Should I wake everyone up?" I asked Ethan, who was watching a soap opera on TV. "Nah. Let 'em sleep." He said. "You're the reporter, right?" He asked. I nodded. "Yeah." Someone on the soap opera began to violently curse and he turned it off. "You look really young. Make sure to add the devlishly handsome tour manager." He said with a laugh. I laughed too, and then the shaking started. Not wanting to give my anxiety a chance, I excused myself.

--Andy's POV-

I jumped awake, hearing our curtain push open. Tessa was heading back to her portion of the bus. I sat up, looking around a little. We were stopped. Were we here? I rolled out of my bottom bunk and headed into the kitchen. Outside was the usual bus-lot where all the busses stayed. We were some of the fist people here, but I could clearly see the bus for Falling in Reverse, Bring me the Horizon, and Of Mice and Men. I thought about going to see Ronnie, but I figured I should wait since it was getting fairly late and I didn't know what we were doing for dinner yet. "Hey Ethan," I said cheerily, yawning. "Hey Andy! It's getting late, you should see what the guys wanna do for diner." He said. I nodded. "I'll let them sleep a little longer, I know they're tired from all that sitting around..." I joked. We both laughed, and then there was an awkard silence. "I'm gonna go stretch my legs and have a smoke." I said. Ethan nodded. I
grabbed my pack of ciggarettes and headed outside. Tour was always a long process, and this was the start of it. This was the start of something so devlishly heavenly. And with Tessa here, it would be nothing but that. It was up to me to protect her and keep her from harm while she was here, and inside I knew I could do that better than anyone else here. Even better than Jinxx.

--Tessa's POV-

Sammi was still asleep, so I figured I might as well see what was going on outside. I pushed the curtains aside to see Ethan asleep, his head bobbing to the side of him.It was dark out now, and I was pretty hungry. I quietly crept outside, the cold night air hitting me like a bullet. I sighed to myself, turning to my right and suddenly bumping into something. I looked up to be met by a pair of bright blue eyes and the prominenet scent of a cigarette. "I thought you'd never notice me here." Andy said with a smile. I smiled back, leaning against the tour bus. "Lost in thought, I guess. What're you doing out here?" I asked, trying to seem as non-awkward as possible. "Thinking. Why are you out here without a jacket?" He asked. I laughed. "I'm not cold. I am starving, though." He blew smoke from his mouth. "You still smoke?" I asked. He nodded. "And I'll never stop." I looked at him, a blush creeping from my neck onto my
cheeks. I began to shake a little, but I pushed my hands down into my pockets in hopes of hiding it. Why did this always happen? Why did my instinct tell me to be afraid even when I knew I shouldn't be? Andy looked at my hands and back up at me. "Why are you shaking?" He asked, lightly taking my hands from my pockets. "I-I..." I didn't finish, he knew very well why. "You know..." Andy began, a grin taking over his face as he looked down at me. "There's a diner not far from here. You wanna go?" I looked back at him, and for some reason I couldn't force down my smile. "Yeah." I said, noticing he had still not let go of my hands.

--Andy's POV-

We walked down to Lili's Diner not far from the bus lot, making good conversation the whole way down. "This looks like a cute little place." She said, motioning towards the diner. "It's a fairly nice place. It's got burgers. It's got bee-" I was going to say beer, but I felt Tessa tense and stopped myself. "I-I'm sorry I just...forgot." Tessa looked at me. "It's okay..." She said. I looked down at her with a smile as we pushed the door to the diner open. "Can we get a booth please?" I asked. The waitress-girl-thing-at-her-podium nodded ad led us to the back where a little booth was. "Can I get you guys something to drink?" She asked, pulling out her little notepad. "I-I'll take a lemonade." Tessa said with a sweet smile. "Lemonade..." The waitress repeated quietly as she jotted it down on her note pad. "And you?" She asked, looking up at me. "Just a water." I heard as Tessa released a problably unintentional sigh of relief. "I'll have those right back." The waitress said, handing us menus and walking off.

"You look beautiful tonight, Tess." I blurted out. She blushed and smiled a little.

"Oh, uhm, than-thank you...You too..Er, I mean, yeah." Tessa laughed at the end of her uncoorinated sentence.

"You don't need to be so nervous." I said, remembering what I told myself. Protect her, don't flirt with her. You're here to protect her.

"I-I know...I'm not afraid of you anymore." She said, although the hint of deception in her voice gave away her lie.

"You have every right to be. It's okay."

"I-I, uhm, nevermind."

"What?" I asked questioningly.

"Nothing." She said with a litle giggle.

Our drinks arrived and she eagerly sipped her lemonade. I laughed at her choice in drink. "I think we're ready to order." I called to the waitress before she left. She pulled her notepad out. "Okay, what can I get you two?" She asked. "I'll take the Half Platter with a side of mashed potatoes." I said. "I'll just take a cup of broccili soup." Tessa said politely. "Alright!" The waitress headed off, leaving me and Tessa to talk again. "What's the plan for tommorow?" Tessa asked, playing with the paper wrapper from her straw. "We don't start performances till Friday, and we have a little party on Wednesday, so tommorow is our free day. Probably go talk to other bands and stuff." I said, skipping over the details about the party. I had a feeling Tessa would want to go.

--Tessa's POV-

The waitress brought our food and we quickly finished it, laughing and joking about a funny-looking painting hanging on the wall next to us. I was actually having fun, and I wasn't scared...I had a different feeling, but I pushed it down. It wasn't right.

As we headed backto the bus, Andy took joy in doing impressions of all the boys. "I'm Ashley, and I can't keep my dick in my pants!" I laughed at the voice he used. "Do Jinxx!" I cheered. Andy thought for a moment before coming up with, "I'm Jinxx and you all need to behave or else I'm telling the tour manager." Andy said in a mock-Jinxx voice. I laughed, the bus now closer in sight. "I'm gonna do someone and you have to guess who it is." Andy said. "Okay." I smiled, laughing at Andy's unusually playful behavoir. "I play drumsand I like to make weird faces at the camera...doi doi doi..." Andy said, making me laugh. "CC?" I asked, still lauging a little. "Yeah!" Andy smiled. We reached the bus and both of us stopped. "Uhm, Andy?" I asked before opening the door. "Yeah?"Andy responded gently. "That party on Thursday...Can I-can I come? I want to see all the-" He immdiately cut me off. "Tessa, I
don't think that's such a good idea." My face fell. "Oh...W-Why not?" I asked. I wanted to see what it was like, and meet all the bands and stuff. "It's just...it would give you unneeded anxiety. I promise you, you'd get there and see what I'm talking about." If Andy was so sure it wasn't safe, I trusted hi-
I trusted him.

I trusted him?

I trusted Andy.

"I'll talk to Ethan about it, see if he wants you to write about it maybe, but if he says no..." I nodded. "I-I trust you, Andy."I said quietly, the words sounding alien. Andy smiled. "Let's go inside, it's getting colder as we speak and you don't have a jacket." I nodded and headed inside to find the strangest sight I ever did see.
