Chapter 39 - Disovery

--Andy's POV--

As I walked, a small lump on the ground down the street made my heart stop. Was that her? I stared at it for a moment before I recognized her hair and her skin, and then I began to run. I sprinted as fast as I could towards her and when I fonally got to her, I collapsed at her side. "Tess! Tessa, are you okay?!" I asked, my heart pounding. "Don't come any closer..." She said, moving away slightly. I could barely make out her smudged makeup and bruised arms in the dark. "Tess, let's get you home, come on...Whatbhappened?! Did he hurt you?!" What a stupid question, of course he did. Tears welled at my eyes and I went to wrap my arms around her, but she let out a loud, high scream that made me jump back. The scream was followed my several angstful sobs, making me shed a few tears of my own. "Tess, it's me...I'm not gonna hurt you..." I said gently, kneeling a little ways from her. "Home...I want to go...home..." She choked out between cries. "Okay, okay, okay, shhhh...It's okay...." I comforted, slowly wrapping my arms around her shoulder and under her bum for support before picking her up off the ground. I was always suprised by how light she was. "Andy....Andy..." She whimpered, not able to make out a sentence between sobs. "Shh, Tess....It's okay now, I've got you...I've got you..." I whispered, feeling her shaking in my arms. I could see the car now and I could't be happier to be home. I tucked a piece of her hair behind her ear and braced her on my knee for a moment so I could unlock the car. "Andy!" She cried out as I tried to lay her in the carseat. She pushed at my chest and shook uncontrolabely, and it broke me to see her in such a state. "Tess, it's okay, you're safe...You're safe..." I cooed, covering her with a black sweater I had in the car. I hurried to the drivers seat, listening to her small, froghtened whimpers the whole way home.

I finally reached the bus and picked her up the same was I had on the street; bridal style. "No...Andy..." She cried out for no impaticular reason. "Hey, hey, hey, you're okay..." I cooed, knocking on the door to the bus wit my knee so I could still hold her. "Andy..." She fretted. Ashley answered, his expression turning horrified as he saw what I was holding. "What the hell happened?" He asked, moving aside so I could bring Tessa in. "I'll explain later." I said, laying Tessa down on the couch. Jinxx hurried in, and I could hear Jake and CC's snores which meant they were asleep. "The fuck?" Jinxx questioned, rubbing the inner corner of his eye. "Get her a couple icepacks and a blanket." I commanded, kneeling next to her and rubbing her crying face, cupping it with both my hands and trying to calm her. "You're safe, you're okay...Shhh....Shh...You're safe." I said gently, grabbing the ice packs Ash handed to me and laying them on her bruised legs, arms, and hip. She had a large red mark on her cheek from where he'd assumabley hit her. I cringed at the thought. "What the hell happened?!" Jinxx asked angrily, his hand on his hip like the sassy string player he was. "Vic." I responded shortly, still trying to calm her frantic breathing. "Same thing that happened to your own girlfriend that you didn't believe." Ashley snapped. Jinxx was silent. "She needs to sleep, there's no way we'll get anything out of her tonight." Ashley finally said. "I know..." I huffed, rubbing small circles in her cheeks. "Andy...Andy..." She cried, her mascara smudged all over her beautiful face. "What Tessie? Hm?" I asked, my heart beating out of my chest and through my skin. "Andy..." She was getting drousy now, and I could tell it was hard for her to be awake. Ashley and Jinxx just silently wayched, at a loss for words. She finally cried out a little and drifted to sleep. I sighed, corssing my arms over my chest and standing. "Don't wake her up." I said coldly to the boys before brushing past them, headed right towards Vic's.
