--Andy's POV-
I gently knocked on the bus door and cracked it open. I could hear Tess and Sammi laughing in the bathroom. "We're home!" I called, sighing a breath I didn't realize I was holding. I heard a couple more girlish giggles. "Where are they?" Ashley asked, confused. "I think they're in the bathroom. Probably talking about girl shit." I laughed. "I'm gonna go find Sammi and see if she's going to the party tonight." Jinxx said, disappearing behind the curtains. Oh yeah, that party...I should talk to Tessa about it. "I should talk to Tess about that, she shouldn't be here all by herself..." I said, following Jinxx into the mass of curtains. Suddenly, I bumped into Jinxx who was, heading the opposite way. "Is Sammi going?" I asked. "I dunno. They wouldn't let me in." Jinxx said. "I can just smell the makeup..." I proceeded to their bathroom and knocked on the door. "Tess I have to talk to you about the party." I said from outside. I heard them laugh a little. "Go away, Tessa isn't in here!" Sammi's voice said. I heard Tessa's laugh from inside and sighed. "Sammi, seriously. Open up." I said sternly. "Go get ready! We'll be out soon." Sammi said. I sighed and headed back to the living room area. "Are any of you changing for the party?" I asked, crossing my arms over my chest. They all shook their heads. I heard Tessa's bathroom door open and perked up slightly. "I should go talk to them." I said. CC smiled and patted my back. "Good luck, soldier." That made the rest of them laugh, and I gave them a small smirk.
I pushed aside the curtain and looked at the sight in front of me. "Where's Tessa?" I asked Sammi, who was fully dressed in party attire. "She's changing in the bathroom." Sammi said with a smile. "Changing?" I pushed, moving closer. "Yeah. Y'know, for the party." Party? "Tessa's not going to the party." I corrected. Sammi glanced at the bathroom door. "That's not what she thinks. I just did her make-up for her." I sighed frusteratedly and rubbed my forehead. "Sammi...She can't-" The bathroom door opened and both Sammi and I looked over. She was wearing a black dress that went down to her lower thighs and flared out slightly, along with a pair of felt black heels. Her lips were painted a dark, deep red and her eyes were a tan to grey fade. She smiled as she saw our faces. "Do-Do I look ok?" She asked shyly. "Yeah! You look awesome, that dress looks great on you." Sammi said, observing Tessa's outfit. Who was I to kill the fun? But she can't go to the party, she just...can't. Tessa looked at me, a look on her face I couldn't read. "You look great Tess...A-are you sure you want to go to this?" I asked. Tessa nodded. "Of course, w-why wouldn't I?" I could sense her anxiety building, and I dropped it. "Well, you look very..." Beautiful? Gorgeous? Stunning? "Nice." I finished. She must've sensed me holding back, but she didn't say anything. "What time does this thing start? I spent so much time getting her ready I haven't gotten myself ready at all." Sammi laughed. "I think it starts at 5." I said. "You should check with Ash though, he knows everything about tour parties." I said. Sammi nodded and grabbed what I assumed was a dress from her bag. Sammi headed into the bathroom, and I was left with Tessa. "Tess, I don't think it's a good idea for you to come to this party." I said quietly, looking over at her. "Well what do you want me to do? Sit here by myself in full party attire?" She asked snappily. I'd never heard Tessa use that tone before and for some reason it made me...Happy? Happy she was able to stand for what she wanted. But standing for this...? I sighed. "Just...Just be careful, okay? There's a lot of...shady people there. Stay with one of-" I stopped when I noticed the look Tess was giving me. "I can monitor what I do. I don't need a chaperone." Tessa said, pushing past me. Sammi came out just in time. "What?" She said, looking from me to the still-moving curtain. I shook my head. "It's not important." I said, turning away and heading out to go have a smoke.
--Tessa's POV-
I stood outside the tour bus, leaning against the side. I can show Andy I'm stronger than he thinks, I can do this. I can just...push my anxiety down. I don't need Andy to constantly watch me. Suddenly, the door to the tour bus cracked open and out came Andy, who was, of course, trying to light a cigarette. "Oh...hey." He said softly. "Hey." I replied. He finally lit the foul-smelling paper and a snake of smoke flew up. "Look Tess, I...I don't mean to be over-powering, I just...don't want you to get hurt." He said. I couldn't bring myself to look at him. "Andy, I know, I just...I want to show you I'm not weak." I said. It couldn't hurt to be truthful. "I know you're not weak." Andy said, blowing out a puff of smoke. "But I'm protecting you anyways." I felt his blue eyes on me, and for a moment I turned to look back at him. "What are we?" I blurted out. "What do you mean?" Andy asked, a hint of humorous confusion in his voice. "I mean...are we friends, or are we just business partners?" I asked. What a stupid question to ask, he probably thinks I'm weird now. "We're like...friends." He said with a smile. There was a moment of silence before Andy quietly said, "I'm sorry for everything I've done I just...I don't really know how to-" I cut him off. "Andy, I-I forgive you...It's just gonna take a little time for me to get used to you." I said, not entirely being able to believe it believe it myself. Was I really forgiving him? Was I really going to place my trust in someone who had betrayed me so many times?
