Chapter 16

The next morning went the same as the one previous. Karl and Veronica being the first awake and sitting together while they talked.

Fundy had woken up earlier than normal, allowing Veronica time to go tell him about everything.

"I am gonna go talk to Fundy, are you okay with me leaving you?" Veronica asked Karl.

"Yeah, I think Quackity or Dream should be up soon." Karl informed her.

"Sounds good. Bye Karl." Veronica smiled, walking off to sit with Fundy.

"Hey, Fundy." Veronica greeted as she sat next to her best friend.

Fundy didn't look up at her, nodding in response.

"Is something wrong?" Veronica asked.

"Where have you been lately? You haven't talked to me in over a week." Fundy said, finally looking up at her.

"Just hanging out. With Techno's crew, Flame's crew. You're always with Niki when I am around." Veronica explained.

"Yeah, but you are my best friend. It doesn't matter who I'm with, I want to hang out with you." Fundy told her.

"Look, I'm sorry. I should have been better about it. I promise from now on, you will know everything and I will hang out with you more." Veronica said, holding her pinky out.

Fundy looked at her for a minute before sighing and wrapping his pinky with hers.

"Now, tell me what's been happening." Fundy told her, a soft smile appearing across his face.

Veronica smiled before she started rambling about everything that had happened. With Sapnap. Obviously.

Fundy listened, many emotions crossing his face. Overall he was happy for the girl, upset that she didn't tell him, and a bit jealous but he just smiled.

"That is amazing, Vero. I am so happy for you." Fundy told his best friend, grabbing her hands with a smile.

"Thank you, Fundy. I missed you." Veronica chuckled.

"One question though, isn't Oliver still in the picture?" Fundy asked.

"I have no idea. It's been over a year. Apparently he's coming to visit at some point. According to Wil." Veronica sighed.

"I'm going to be honest here, Ro. You seem so much happier when talking about Sapnap than you ever did talking about Oliver." Fundy told her.

"I really like him, Fundy. So much." Veronica groaned, hiding her head in her best friend's chest.

Fundy sighed, patting her back supportively.

"Then tell Oliver that when he comes. If he cares about your happiness he will let you be with Sapnap." Fundy told her.

Veronica responded but it was muffled. Fundy just chuckled and hugged his friend. He was glad she told him.

Niki walked over to the two, sitting with them and starting a conversation with Fundy. Veronica eventually sat up properly.

Everyone slowly migrated over to the Flame trailer for their morning coffee. Fundy kept wiggling his eyebrows at Veronica while she talked to Sapnap.

Eventually Veronica did something about it, standing up abruptly in the middle of one of Sapnap's sentences, causing him to stop and question her. Fundy immediately stopped, laughing nervously and gaining everyone's attention. Veronica silently began counting down with her fingers causing Fundy to scramble out of his chair and take off running which caused Veronica to Chase after him.
