When the girl arrived back at the trailer, she heard fighting. More specifically Dream and Sapnap fighting. Verbally, not physically... yet.

Veronica's arrival only made it worse.

"You are a traitor, Dream!" Sapnap yelled.

"You would let me make any friends who weren't you!" Dream countered.

"That didn't mean to go join my rival!"

"At least they treat me with respect! They actually want me here! They acknowledge when someone has a good idea!"

"You left my crew! For Veronica's crew!"

"It isn't Veronica's crew! It's the Jones crew! It includes everyone a part of it! It isn't just Veronica's!"

"That isn't how that works!"

"It is! It is everyone in the crew's crew. Not just one person." Dream spoke, stepping back and standing with Fundy and Alec.

Veronica stepped forward.
"A crew is a group effort. Everyone contributes in their own way. You clearly don't understand teamwork. Dream will come back to your crew when he wants. Just like he left and joined our crew. Like he wanted."
Sapnap's head snapped in Veronica's direction before he yelled at her.

"Shut the hell up! You don't know shit! You have had everything handed to you by dear old dad! At least your parents support you!" Sapnap yelled at her.

Alec and Veronica's faces went blank before Veronica took a step towards Sapnap.

"At least your parents are still alive." Veronica spoke calmly. Everyone went silent, staring at the girl with wide and shocked eyes. No one knew about the death of the Jones parents.

"If you are done with your little temper tantrum now. Get the hell out of my trailer area." Veronica demanded, Sapnap and his crew immediately speed walking away.

"Vero.." Niki started.

"Don't. Just.. leave it." Veronica muttered, looking at Dream.

"Care ride?" He asked, earning a nod from the girl.

"Bring her back in one piece please." Alec asked.

"Of course." Dream told Alec as the two got into the car, driving off.

Eret grabbed Alec's hand.

"Alec and I are going to take a walk." Eret told the other two who nodded.

Fundy winked at Eret, earning a glare from the man.

"Come on, Alec." Eret smiled gently at Alec.

Alec just nodded, walking away with Eret.

"I know just where to go." Eret grinned, attempting to take Alec's mind off of the topic that was making him sad.

"Lead the way then." Alec told Eret, holding onto Eret's hand. Eret's face was tinted pink.

Eret and Alec quietly walked, Eret humming a song to themself. Soon they reached a flower field, turning to look at Alec who wasn't paying attention and barely noticed that they had stopped walking. It made Eret frown.

"Alec, we are here." Eret spoke, attempting to get Alec's attention but failing. It seemed Alec's shoes were more important to Alec at that moment.

Eret sighed, letting go of Alec's hand and walking over to the bench that was sat utop the flower field hill. Alec didn't take notice. He stood in the flower field, zoned out while Eret watched the clouds. Eret had debated just telling Alec how they felt, to get Alec's mind off the earlier events as well as get the weight off Eret's chest. That didn't seem to be happening though.

After 20 minutes, Alec finally walked over to Eret and sat next to them. The two were silent for a while before Eret broke the silence.

"You want a hug?" They asked, turning towards Alec who crashed into their arms.

"I got you." Eret mumbled, hugging Alec tightly.

Alec eventually pulled away, going back into comfortable silence. Alec looked at Eret, earning a smile in which he returned. Eret took a deep breath, deciding now or never.

"Alec, I need to tell you something." Eret told him, chewing their lip.

"What is it?" Alec turned to face Eret.

"I... I like you." Eret blurt out.

"Well obviously. We are best friends!" Alec smiled.

"No.. I like you more than best friends." Eret grabbed Alec's hands.

"Like, ultra best friends?" Alec tilted his head, he wasn't this stupid but it was a defense mechenism when he got nervous.

"No. I like you romantically." Eret smiled softly at Alec who looked panicked.

Alec nodded slowly, taking his hands away from Eret.

"Eret.. I am.. Sorry. I don't feel the same." Alec stood up.

"That's okay! I just needed to get it off my chest." Eret stood as well.

"Well, I am happy for you then." Alec seemed awkward now.

"Still best friends?" Eret asked.

"Sure. Still best friends." Alec nodded, taking a step back.

"Alec? Are you okay?" Eret was confused.

Alec nodded before he walked away without saying a word, breaking Eret's heart in the process.

"A simple no would have done fine." Eret mumbled, sitting back down and staring off at the sun that was setting.

Once out of Eret's sight, Alec began to run back to the trailer. He ran directly into Wilbur, knocking them both over.

"Sorry! Sorry!" Alec apologized, getting off Wilbur quickly and picking up the clipboard that Wilbur had been carrying.

Wilbur stood up, Alec handing the clipboard back.

"You okay, Alec? You seem in a hurry." Wilbur tilted his head.

"Eret. Confess. Scared." Alec said quickly.
Fortunately, Wilbur understood, nodding.

"Wanna talk about it?" Wilbur offered.

"Not right now, I wanna sleep today off." Alec told him.

"That's alright, I am here when you are ready to talk." Wilbur hugged the boy before waving and walking off towards his trailer.

Alec took a deep breath before walking up to his trailer and going inside, laying in bed and immediately going to sleep.

Eret sat on the bench for a while. Wilbur eventually found them.

"This seat taken?" Wilbur asked, breaking Eret from his thoughts.

"No, you can sit." Eret told him, scooting over.

Wilbur sat down, wrapping an arm around Eret and pulling them into a hug.

"It'll work out in the end. Don't give up." Wilbur told the person in his arms.

"You don't know that." Eret mumbled.

"I know more than you may think." Wilbur chuckled, playing with Eret's hair in hopes of calming her.

"I might fall asleep." Eret mumbled with a yawn.

"I'll carry you back if you do." Wilbur began humming one of his songs.

"Thank you, Wilbur." Eret said before drifting off.

"You're welcome, Eret. You're welcome." Wilbur sighed, waiting a bit before picking up Eret and beginning the journey back to the race stadium.
