Chapter 21

Alec, Tommy, Phil, Dream, and Ranboo left the communicators box, headed down to where everyone else was.

"What happened?" Techno asked, he didn't know.

"Fucking Johnson break checked her." Eret told him.

"I'll kill that son of a bitch." Tommy grit his teeth.

"As much as I want to skin his ass, we need to make sure Veronica is alright. Who all has a car?" Alec asked, staying as calm as he could.

"Wilbur, me, Phil, and Karl." Dream told him.

"Right, I don't think we should take everyone. Maybe 4 people. Too many will overwhelm her and probably the workers." Phil told them.

"I'm going." Sapnap spoke up.

"So am I." Eret told the group.

"Wilbur and I will also go." Alec spoke.

"I'll drive then." Wilbur told them.

"Everyone else, stay calm and we will keep you updated. Stay together. Probably in our trailer in case we need something brought to us." Eret smiled weakly at the group.

"Drive safely." Tommy told Wilbur, walking off to the Jones trailer with Ranboo and Tubbo.

Everyone dispersed afterwards. Wilbur, Eret, Alec, and Sapnap all got into Wilbur's car, driving to the hospital while the rest of the group stood around the Jones trailer.

"Do you think she'll be okay, Phil?" Techno asked his father.

"She's strong, and has been in worse crashes. I think she will be okay but I can't be sure." Phil responded with a sigh.

"All we can do is wait. Hopefully she'll be okay." Niki told the two.

"Niki is right, all we can do is wait. No point sitting around and doing nothing." Jack sighed.

"Jack's right. Who knows how long we will have to wait? I say we at least do something in the meantime. Like go get food or something." George agreed.

"I agree. Let's go get food and occupy ourselves." Quackity spoke up.

Everyone slowly agreed and they all walked to the nearest restaurant. Tommy, Tubbo, and Ranboo were having their own conversation about Veronica and if she was alright.

With Wilbur

Alec and Eret were in the backseat. Alec was chewing his lip nervously to the point he broke the skin and started bleeding.

"Alec, stop chewing your lip." Eret told him.

"What if she's not okay. I can't lose my sister too." Alec rambled.

"You can't think like that. You'll just get more worried." Eret told him, grabbing his hands.

"My sister is all I have left and now she's in the hospital because of the same person who took my parents. You expect me to be calm?" Alec scoffed, wiping his face of tears.

"Alec, I know, but you need to stay calm. Once we find out what's happening then freaking out can commence, okay?" Eret tried.

"Fine, whatever you say." Alec mumbled, leaning against the window.

"You think she's okay?" Sapnap asked Wilbur, looking out the window as they drove.

"I don't know. She's a fighter but this one looked bad." Wilbur admitted.

Suddenly Eret's phone started ringing. It was Fundy. Eret answered it and put it on speaker.

"You're on speaker. Wilbur, Sapnap, Alec and I are here." Eret told him.

"Alright, well. She is alive." Fundy started.

"Hear that, she's alive." Eret smiled.

"Let me finish. She's in a coma. She's alive but she isn't fully stable. They are trying to stabilize her. They don't know when she'll wake up or even if she will wake up." Fundy explained as calmly as he possibly could without breaking down.

The car was silent for a few moments before Wilbur spoke up.

"We just arrived, Fundy. We will see you in a few." Wilbur said as he parked the car.

"See you soon." Fundy responded, hanging up the phone.

"You guys go in, I'll call Phil and tell him what's going on." Wilbur told the other three.

"See you inside, Wil." Eret told him before walking inside with Sapnap and Alec who were both on the verge of tears.

Wilbur ran his hand through his hair as he pulled out his phone and called Phil.

"Hey, anything?" Phil asked.

On Phil's end, everyone was on high alert, watching him take the call.

"She's in a coma and unstable. They are stabilizing her now. Phil, they don't know if she's going to wake up." Wilbur told his father, tears beginning to roll down his face.

Phil's voice caught in his throat, cracking as he spoke. "Alright. Keep us updated here. I'll tell the others."

"Phil, don't tell Tommy. He cares about Veronica a shit ton and it might break him to hear that she might not wake up." Wilbur told the man on the other end of the line.

"Wil.." Phil started.

"Please, Phil?" Wilbur asked.

"Fine. You can't keep it for long though." Phil told him.

"I know. I'll call you later Phil." Wilbur said, hanging up and walking inside.

He sent Sally a text, updating her on what was going on and then he walked up to Fundy, pulling him into a hug as Fundy started crying.

Eret was hugging Alec who was also crying. Sapnap sat in the waiting chair, tears streaming down his face as his leg bounced anxiously.

With Phil

"Is she okay?" Jack asked.

"She's in a coma. They don't know if she's going to wake up." Phil told the group.

Everyone took it hard, worried for their friend. They all cleaned up their stuff, deciding to go back to the trailers. Tommy, Ranboo, and Tubbo had at a different table in the restaurant. George and Dream walked over to them.

"We are going to head to the trailers. You guys ready to go?" George asked the three teens.

"Sure, why not." Tubbo shrugged.

The three had finished eating a while ago. They stood up, walking with George and Dream back to the others and they all walked back to the trailers.

"I'll put together a bag for Fundy, Alec, and Eret." Niki told them.

"I'll help you Niki." Jack told her.

"I'll put one for Sapnap." Dream offered.

"I'll take them to the hospital." Karl stated.

The group agreed, Niki and Jack went to their trailer while Dream went to his. They all did as they said, putting the bags in Karl's car.

"See you guys later." Karl told the group.

"Drive safely. We don't need a repeat of last time." Dream told him.

"I will." Karl assured him before getting into his car and driving away.
