Veronica Jones had been in a fair share of accidents. Many of which had almost taken her life. Here she was, once again, laying in a hospital bed barely alive.
She sat in a hospital chair next to her bed, watching as the doctors huddled around her unconscious body, attempting to keep her stable. Veronica looked down at her ghostly hands. After a few minutes she stood up and walked through the door, literally. The door was closed and she walked through it.
Veronica walked into the lobby, seeing the group of people who had come to see her. It made her smile. They couldn't see her, obviously. She sat with them, listening to them talk about what was going on with her.
A doctor walked up to the group, informing them that she was stable and allowed visitors. Veronica smiled, going back to her room and sitting next to herself. One by one her friends came in. Fundy was first.
"Vero, you gotta wake up. We need you out here. I need my best friend." Fundy spoke, holding back tears that threatened to fall once again.
Next was Eret.
"Hey, V. If you can hear me. Come back to us. Alec can't lose all he has left." Eret said, sniffing back tears.
Next was Wilbur.
"Hey buddy. Sally said she's proud of you for the finals. She hopes you get better soon. We all do." Wilbur paused, blinking a bunch to get rid of any forming tears.
"I told Phil not to tell Tommy. It would break his heart to see you like this. It did last time. I'm sure he'll be around some time." Wilbur said, choking up a bit.
Alec was next.
"Vero, come back. Please. I can't.. I can't lose you too. First mom and dad. Please wake up." Alec was full on crying.
Finally Sapnap.
"Hey. You did good. I'm proud of you." Sapnap started.
"I'm sorry about what happened. I shouldn't have reacted that way.. please way up. I love you so much, I'm so sorry." Sapnap said as he started crying.
After a bit all of them were sat around the hospital room. Most on their phones while Sapnap and Alec were asleep, each holding one of Veronica's hands. Karl soon came in with the bags. He hugged the ones who were awake and told them to call if they needed anything. He left soon after.
These chapters always seem like they have more words :(
I think the next chapter is also gonna be short also
