Mizuki jolts awake.

Her bed is empty. The sheets stretch past her vision, pulling her under until there was no air left to breathe. The pillows don't serve as anchors; they act as wood, drifting along the waves. The white feels endless, and Mizuki gasps.

"Why didn't you wait?"

Mizuki stares at Odasaku's broken expression.

"You said you loved me."

"I-"

The hotel lobby looks huge.

"You said."

He starts toward her, eyes melancholic, bitter with feelings.

"You were sorry about the kids."

Mizuki stares at Oda's body in her arms and then at the ghost.

"You said you loved me."

Mizuki's eyes brim with tears.

"I'm sorry."

"You're not."

"I'm sorry," Mizuki's voice cracks.

He takes a step forward.

"You're not."

"I am."

"If you were, you would have waited."

"I-"

"You never loved me."

"I did." Mizuki's vision grows hazy. "I waited so long. I even-"

"But you didn't choose me."

Mizuki stares up at the man towering over her.

"Oda."

The name feels foreign on her tongue.

"You were the one who left me."

The man's presence fades a little.

"Divorce him."

"What?" Mizuki's eyes widen.

"You love me."

"I do."

"Yet you married him."

"I love him too."

"Then you can't love me."

"Oda-"

"Don't call me that."

His voice is cold.

Mizuki's heart drops.

"Sa... Sakunosuke-kun."

"You're really greedy."

Something switches in Mizuki, and her eyes glow a slimmer of red. Darkness bleeds into the white from where she kneeled.

"Oh? I wouldn't have known."

Oda stares at her, eyes void.

A smirk smears itself on Mizuki's face, her eyes glistening in the white.

"Oda-kun, you're the one who named me greed."

Oda fades a little more.

"Or did you forget, like how you forgot you told me to move on?"

Oda's ghost is barely visible now.

Mizuki's iris dilates, her lips bleeding red.

"Know your place, soul."

Oda disappears, and Mizuki jolts awake.

I want a crystal.

Mizuki reaches to her bedside drawer, and pick out a gem. "How does teleportation sound?"

Black Flash?

Mizuki doesn't answer, and swallows the gem instead. "Can I sleep well now?"

The voice doesn't answer, and Mizuki closes her eyes, lying onto the bed.

I want a human.

Mizuki opens her eyes. "Morning. I can't feed you unless I'm awake."

The exhaustion consumes Mizuki. This time, her dream is dark.

Nothing is there, and she finds comfort in the familiar darkness.
