I closed my eyes and start reminiscing all of the things we've been through.
I started singing our favorite song too.
There I was, an empty piece of a shell
Just minding my own world
Without even knowing what love and life were all about
Then you came
You brought me out of the shell
You gave the world to me
And before I knew
There I was, so in love with you
You gave me a reason for my being
And I love what I'm feeling
You gave me a meaning to my life
Yes, I've gone beyond existing
And it all began when I met you
She closed her eyes and listened carefully.
"I'll go first okay? I'll be waiting for you My Love." she said and tried her best to touch my face.
A tear escaped in my eyes. I nodded and kissed her head. We've been married for 60 years already. But my love for her never changed. I don't know how to describe it but everyday, I fell for her even more. Our kids are grown ups already. We had a total of four children. 3 sons and 1 daughter. They all have a family already, so it's okay for us now to leave them. We tried our best to raise them well, and yes. We did.
I touched her face, "you can go now love. I'll promise, I will be there soon too."
She closed her eyes. Until I heard her breathing stopped.
Zehra Marietta Henriquez Huxley died on December 24, 2080. And on the day of Christmas, Kieffer Huxley died on December 25,2080.
'I told you, I'll follow you love. One day without you is too long. I miss you so much. And now, we'll be together again.' Kieffer Huxley's last words before his soul left his body.
