Another month passed and Brandi wasn't ready to fully trust Jasper. Despite her feelings for him. Frankie had enough and decided to tell her what she thinks. "Brandi, can we talk?"

Brandi nodded. "Is there something wrong?"

"I see a beautiful strong girl who means everything to my brother and she's my beautiful best friend." Brandi smiled. "Please give him a chance."

"I'm afraid that I'll be used again."

Brandi looked to see Jasper staring at them. He walked over to her and took her hand in his. "Brandi, he used you and I know you don't fully trust me, but let me prove to you that I care for you, a lot."

Jasper decided to prove himself to Brandi. Brandi was shocked when she saw the place Jasper took her too. "It's beautiful."

"I wanted to start proving to you that I'm nothing like him." He said. "Brandi, I know you are afraid, but if you just give me the chance to show to you that I actually care for you, then I will show you the rightful love."

Brandi looked at Jasper and smiled for once at him. "Okay. I'll do it, but I want to go slow."

Jasper smiled as Brandi was giving him a chance. He walked over to her and smiled. "I'll do it at your pace. I just want to prove to that I would never hurt you."

The next day, Brandi sat in her room writing in the notebook. Jasper walked in just as Brandi went to the bathroom. He looked at the book and smiled.

Jasper,
Thank you for accepting the fact that it's going to take time, but I know in time I will give you a chance. I care for you, Jasper, a lot. Meeting you is something I will never take back. The letters, your promises, everything about what you have shown since we met has me feeling like my old self again.

Jasper smiled as he looked at the letter. He went to reply, but he felt arms wrap around him. "I was just protecting my mate." He says.

"I didn't know that at the time. I thought you would use me. I didn't know that you actually cared for me that much till you told me I was your mate." She said. "Jasper?"

"Yes, darlin'."

"I think I would like to start knowing you better instead of being afraid of you. I don't want to be scared of you or the others. So I want to stop being afraid." Brandi felt Jasper turn around and touch her cheek. "I want to be with you."

Jasper kissed her head causing Brandi to smile as she let a tear fall. Frankie smiled as that was a big move, Brandi wants to know Jasper and be with him. "It's happening." Alice says. "It won't be long till she finally accepts him fully."

Esme saw Brandi reading one of Jasper's books and sat down beside her. The blonde looked up and looked to see Esme. "Hi, sweetie. I thought we can talk."

"If this is about the way I've been towards Jasper..."

"Brandi, it's okay to be afraid. I was abused by my husband because we lost our son. We tried for another, but it didn't make it either." She sighed. "When I woke up, I was afraid, but Carlisle showed me things that I've never seen before. He made me feel safe. I know Jasper wants that with you."

Brandi sighed. "I have one thing that bothered me. Why didn't Edward tell him? I know he read my mind."

"Because I thought you should tell him yourself." She looked to see Edward walking over to them and sitting down. "I knew that you would eventually tell him. I felt guilty not saying anything to him, but it wasn't really my place. Brandi, there's something you don't know why he was with you."

"Why?"

"He stalked you. Got to know every move you make. He kept tabs on you, Brandi. Mack had plans getting what he wanted from you and then killing you." Brandi was shocked by this. "When you met Jasper a month of him manipulating you, he knew you were suddenly telling a total stranger about what is happening. He knew you had to die earlier then planned. He just wasn't expecting you to get pregnant."

Brandi touched her small bump. "Where's Jasper?"

Jasper appeared in the room as she walked over to him to hug him. He was shocked at first, but caved in. She felt ashamed of how things were going, but she does need to say something. "Help me heal, Jasper."

"I will." He promised.

Later that day, Frankie went to talk to Brandi, but heard talking. She looked to see Brandi and Jasper laying together talking. She looked comfortable with him making Frankie smile. She's actually going through with her promise. Brandi is finally moving forward all because of Jasper. She thought as she walked away.

"They're cuddling and talking. It won't be long now, Alice."

"Just the way I saw it." She said kissing Frankie. "Let's hunt."

"I thought you'll never ask." Frankie says as they left.

Esme looked at Carlisle smiling. "She's finally letting go."

"That's a good sign." He said. "I need to check on the baby after she comes back from school."

"That'll be nice." Esme said. "Let's join the others and hunt."

Carlisle nodded as he left. Jasper looked down in his arms to see Brandi sound asleep. "I'm here, Brandi. Always."
