-Demon Slayer's POV-
I run through hallways and yell at nothing."Damn! He sent me flying again! It's been like this for the last three days, dammit! Making my way through a cramped building like this... It's just not my thin for crying out loud!" As I was running, a demon's hand come from the corner and barely grabs me. I jump back and look at it as it appears from the corner. "You dodged me! You seem to be an awfully lively one. Your flesh will be well worth gouging out!" It says. It was bloody as if it finished its meal. I use,

Self-Style... Beast Breathing.

I put my hands on my blades and say, "It's gonna be so worth it to shred such a huge target!" I then rush the demon while he says, "Oh-ho! You've got guts to charge at me head-on like that!" As it finished, I got both its arms off. It gasps in shock and fear. I laugh while the demon screams in pain. I say, "Die in battle and serve as my springboard!" And cuts its head off.

Fang Three, Devour!

It forces the demon's large body down and launches my self forward. I then begin running down to find the demon. "Comin' through! Comin' through!"

-With the Tsuzumi Demon (3rd Person POV)-
"Marechi... if I can just devour some... Fifty... No, a hundred humans' worth..." It stops and reaches for his eye. He reforms his eye to look back down while saying, "I gotta search for some more humans with marechi and consume them. That way... I can return to the Twelve Kizuki!" Reveals it to be a scratched-out 'Lower 6'.

-Tsuzumi Demon's memory-
The former Lower Moon 6 demon eats a human corpse. After eating for a while, he stops and covers his mouth. A man walks up and says, "Kyogai. You can't eat anymore? Is that all you've got?" "No. No, I'm not done!" He says. When he finished, his eye was cut in an 'X' mark cutting off his Lower Moon 6 mark. He screams and groans in pain. "P-Please give me more time! J-Just a little!" Kyogai asked in desperation. The man, Muzan, says, "I've had enough. I'm stripping you of your number. That's your limit, and you've reached it."

"The more humans you devour, the stronger you'll become. And when he saw your potential, you received blood from Kibutsuji-sama. The power of his blood was incredible. I was sure that I'd grow infinitely stronger than before, be recognized as a Twelve Kizuki, and continue to gorge myself on humans to become even more powerful! Or so I believed! Or so I believed."

-With Tanjiro (3rd Person POV)-
Before the boy could strike the tsuzumi, Teruko yells, "Kiyoshi Nii-chan!" She ran up to him while he puts the tsuzumi down. "Onii-chan! Onii-chan!" The two hug in relief as Kiyoshi says, "Teruko!" Tanjiro walks up to the two while Kiyoshi asks, "Who's he?" "I'm Tanjiro Kamado. I've come to defeat evil demons. Now then, show me your wounds. You did well, all by yourself." Kiyoshi started sobbing in pure relief that he got saved. "Onii-chan..." Teruko says. Tanjiro reaches into his haori and pulls out a letter. He explains, "No this ointment here is amazing! My master gave it to me!"
Tanjiro applies the ointment to Kiyoshi's leg while saying, "My master always wears a tengu mask." "Tengu? Really?" Kiyoshi asks. Tanjiro answered, "Yes, it's true. My master's ointment is so amazing, it always works right away." He then puts a cloth around the ointment and says, while tying it, "Okay, you're all set! Well? The pain's fading, isn't it?" "Yes!" Kiyoshi answered. Tanjiro's expression went stern and asked, "Do you think you can tell me what happened here?" "A monster kidnapped me, a-and I nearly got devoured. But just then, another monster showed up out of nowhere, and they started fighting to the death... over whoever was going to eat me. A-and then, the one with the tsuzumi growing out of him... When the other monster attacked him, he dropped this tsuzumi! So, when I picked it up and struck it, the room suddenly changed. And somehow held on until now!" He said, stammering. "A demon with tsuzumi growing out of him... So, that was him? He mentioned 'Marechi' or something like that," Tanjiro said. Kiyoshi gasped and said, "That's right! He kept calling me 'Marechi'!" Just then, Tanjiro's crow appears out of nowhere and caws, "What is 'Marechi'? It refers to one with rare blood!" Both Kiyoshi and Teruko are startled as the crow laughs, "You little brats! I'm going to peck you!" "Cut it out!" Tanjiro said as he grabbed the crow. "What do you mean by 'rare blood'?" Tanjiro asked. "Living things have different types of blood, idiot!" The crow said as he was put down. The crow finishes, "Even among Marechi... the more scarce it is, the more uncommon... To a demon, that single Marechi equals eating fifty! One hundred humans! A delicacy for the ages! It's a nutritional feast! Marechi is their favourite food!" Tanjiro sniffs the air, possibly smelling the Tsuzumi Demon."Huh? I'm leaving this room now," Tanjiro says. Kiyoshi gasps while Tanjiro consoles him, "Keep calm. It's all right. I'm just going to take down that demon. Listen to me, Teruko. Right now, your brother is terribly exhausted. So, you gotta look after him, okay? As soon as I leave the room, strike that tsuzumi and move the room. Just like Kiyoshi's been doing until now, whenever someone tries to open the door or you hear something, strike that tsuzumi right away to escape. I promise to come and get you. I'll follow your scents. I'll call put your names when I open the door. You just have to hang in there a little longer. You can do it, right?" They both nod while Tanjiro finishes, "Good for you! You're both strong! I'm heading out." Kyogai peeks from the corner in a very creepy way while Tanjiro lunges out of the room. "Strike it!" He yells. The demon emerges from the corner and says, "Damn insect! So infuriating!" Kyogai strikes one of his drums and the room flips to the ceiling. Tanjiro, still running, pulls out his blade and lands on the ceiling. Kyogai walks in and strikes the drum on his abdomen. Tanjiro immediately knew what it was and ducked low to dodge it. He thought while Kyogai flipped the room, "The tsuzumi in his right shoulder flips the room right! The left one flips it left! Right leg, forward spin! Left leg, backward spin! The tsuzumi on his belly launches that claw attack!" Kyogai kept flipping the room one after the other while Tanjiro just safely lands. While dropping, he was ready to cut off Kyogai's head, but he launched a claw attack to defend himself. Tanjiro twisted his body to dodge the attack. He thought, "The speed of the rotations and attacks, they're fast. But I think I may be faster." Kyogai launched another claw attack, but Tanjiro just dodged with ease. "The demon's attack that leaves those claw marks... I can't move in closer because I'm scared of it. If I get in too close, I'm scared I might get slashed and ripped apart. Urokodaki-san!" I then remember what he told me.

"Water can take any form. Pour it into a box, it becomes square. Pour it into a bottle, and it's round. Sometimes, it can even smash boulders and flow as far as the eye can see."

"That's right! There are ten forms of Water Breathing! So, I can battle any opponent! I can take any form! And this flow will never be stopped!" Tanjiro was cut off as Kyogai beat his drum twice, reverting it back to the room's floor. "Look straight ahead! Get a grip! Give it all you've got, Tanjiro!" "Listen up demon, I'm going to cut your head off right here and right now!" Tanjiro said.

-A Little Secret-
Tanjiro once had a dream where he, along with a bald boy, trained with an old guy who had a turtle shell on his back. He woke up and thought that it was the strangest dream he's had thus far.
