After returning from another mission, Tanjiro heard a yell from inside the Butterfly Mansion. He was confused about why Tengen was there and investigated. Tanjiro saw the six in a bit of a scuffle. He come to the conclusion that Tengen was hurting them and yelled, "How dare you treat girls like that! Let go of them!" They all looked at him and he thought, "No. Are they swarming around him? Is it being held? Which is it?" Kiyo cries, "He's kidnapping them! Please rescue them!" Tengen hit her angrily and said, "Why, you... You little idiot!" Tanjiro watches it and decided to waste no time and go in for a headbutt. Tengen moves atop the roof of the gate while everyone drops to the ground. Tanjiro asks, "Are you all right?" Kiyo responds with a yes while Tengen says, "You're a fool. I'm Uzui Tengen-sama, former shinobi. A flashy man renown around these parts. Do you really think if fall victim to one of your pissant headbutts?" Tanjiro angrily demands, "Let Aoi-san and Naho-chan go, you lousy kidnapper!" Kiyo repeated, "You heard him! You heard him!" All while Kanao bumps her fist in the air. Tanjiro asks, "What do you think you're doing?" Tengen got ticked off and yelled, "Hey, you two! Who do you think you're talking to, dammit? I'm your superior! I'm a Hashira, dammit!" Tanjiro yells, "Well I don't acknowledge you as a Hashira! Hmph!" Tengen says, "Don't 'hmph' me! Who cares if you don't acknowledge me? You little bottom-feeder! Did your brain matter explode or what? I'm taking these two because I need some female Corps members for a mission! And I don't need permission from Kocho to take anyone who's not a Tsuguko!" Kiyo explains, "Naho isn't a member of the Corps! Can't you see she's not wearing the uniform?" Tengen examines Naho and drops her whilst saying, "I don't need her, then..." Tanjiro catches the girl and screams, "How could toy do such a thing, you inhuman brute?" Naho cries out, "He dropped me!" Tengen announces, "For now, I'm just going to take this one on my mission. Not that she looks like she'll be of any use. But somehow, she is a Corps member, at least." Tanjiro steps up and says, "Everyone has their own personal reasons, so don't be so insensitive and stir things up! Give us back Aoi-san!" Tengen looks as if he was bored and said, "Lame. So lame. No wonder the Demon Slayer Corps is getting weaker, with guys like you wailing and moaning in your u flashy ways." Tanjiro looks down in defeat and back up to him. He says, "We'll go in place of Aoi!" Tengen asked, "What do you mean by 'we'?" Zenitsu and Inosuke stood by his sides ready to fight if things go south. They then jumped in front of Tanjiro while they all looked toward the man. Tengen asked, "What going on, you three? What do you have to say?" Inosuke says, "I just got back this second, but I have power to spare! I'll be glad to go!" Zenitsu stammered in fear, "Y-Y-You let Aoi-chan go, you hear me? You may be a muscular monster, but I'm not b-b-b-backing down! No, sir!" Tengen said nothing which irritated the three. Tengen backs down and says, "Is that right? Then I guess I'll take you with me." The three got confused while Tanjiro thought, "Backing down just like that?" Tengen announces, "But remember this... Don't you dare defy me!" He then smacks Aoi's behind and puts her down.
Aoi, Kanao, Niho, Kiyo and Sumi look at the four as they begin to talk about their next mission. Kiyo hiccups and says, "Tanjiro-san..."
Zenitsu looked at the man and whispered, "He's gigantic." Inosuke asked, "So? Where are we going, old man?" Tengen looked at the three while saying, "The number one spot in Japan that's dripping with list and desire. A super-flashy place. The Entertainment District where demons reside"
