Tanjiro began to scream out loud as his blade got near his neck.

-Tengen's Memory-
Tengen, along with his three wives, all stood in front of a headstone, presumably his own family's grave. It turns out to be his own family's grave as the headstone stated,

Uzui Family Grave.

Tengen kneeled while he lit a few incense sticks and began to pray, followed by the three behind him. He stood up while he grabbed an alcohol bottle and said, "If my siblings were still alive..." He began to pour the alcohol on the grave mid-sentence and continued, "Maybe we would've gone drinking one day. Sorry, but I still haven't managed to die yet. But I did bring some fine sake, so cut me some slack. One day, we'll all drink together over there."

Later on, Tengen and the three set up some food in front of the grave. Tengen took a drink out of a small cup and finished it off. He said, "Now, in their honour, dig in and be as flashy as you can!" Tengen was the first to take a bite as he said, "Whoa, these are tasty! Don't hold back, you three." Tengen took another bite while Hinatsuru says, "Tengen-sama, do you..." Tengen goes, "Huh?" She asks, "Tengen-sama, do you still think about your deceased siblings?" Tengen had a small phase before saying, "Sure. Not a day goes by that I don't recall them. Even now, it seems like yesterday that I left my homeland with you three." There was a moment of silence after his sentence. He took a bite of his food and said, "Hey, this one's tasty, too! Come on, join me!" The three wives say in tandem, "Right." Suma was the first out of the three to take a bite. She covers her mouth and says, "Delicious!" Makio says, "Hey! Would it kill you to show some restraint?" Hinatsuru cooed, "Now, now..." Suma says, "But Tengen-sama told us to dig in! Here you go, Makio-san!" Makio took a bite and said, "Delicious!" "Isn't it?" Suma asks. The two begin to laugh before Tengen let's out, "Someday, I'm going to Hell." They all look at him in surprise as he said, "Whoops! I shouldn't have said that! I don't need another tongue-lashing from you three." Tengen looks back at his family grave and adds, "I'm going to live the flashes life possible. For my siblings' sake. With you three, that is." The three again said in tandem, "Right." The wind begins to pick up as many sakura leaves and petals fall from the trees. Hinatsuru says, "How lovely." A sakura petal falls onto Hinatsuru's hair while Tengen grabs the petal, which startled her. She put her hand on her cheek as they grow red and says, "Th-Thank you very much." "Sure," Tengen says. Makio also puts sakura petals on her head as she yells, "Tengen-sama! Tengen-sama! Me, too! Me, too!" Tengen asks, "You plastered them on yourself, didn't you?" She barks, "You're so cruel, Tengen-sama!" Hinatsuru says, "Tengen-sama, would you mind giving me that petal?" Tengen replies, "I don't mind at all, but there are tons of them everywhere." She reaches for the petal and says, "That's the one that I want." Tengen places the petal in her hands. She closes her hands and says, "Thank you very much." The two look at Hinatsuru and both scream at Tengen in jealousy, "Tengen-sama, I want one, too!" Tengen backs up in fear and says, "Huh? Just pick up one of these petals yourselves!" They both yell at the same time, "You're so cruel!" Hinatsuru just smiled at the three.

-Present Time (Battle)-
Tengen watched the kunai reach the demon as she thought, "Tengen-sama!" Both Tanjiro and Tengen take a swing a Gyutaro. But at the same time, the kunai falls out and he smirks. He regrows his legs as Tengen thought in fear, "He regenerated his legs? Dammit! He's already neutralized the poison!" Gyutaro says, "Man, that sure packed a punch! This poison, I mean!" He also uttered,

Blood Demon Art... Rotating Circular Slashes... Flying Blood Scythes!

Many red blood slashes formed around his arms. Tanjiro was so close to getting slashed but back up in time. Tengen thought, "Slashing us without even swinging his arms? Over a wide range!" Tengen made sure Tanjiro was backed up before responding with an attack of his own,

Sound Breathing... Fourth Form... Constant Resounding Slashes!

Tengen spun his blades at high speed in front of him to block out all of Gyutaro's slashes. As the dust and the smoke settled, Gyutaro was gone from sight. He thought, "He vanished?" Many of Daki's belts were sent to Tengen as Hinatsuru yelled, "Tengen-sama, behind you!" Tengen backflipped over a belt and dodged many more. He looked at Hinatsuru and yelled, "Hinatsu-" He was blocked from finishing by Daki's belts barely blocking his view from her. She responds by throwing a kunai at the belts. She yells, "I'll draw the Belts toward myself! Tengen-sama, don't mind me! Go look for the dem-" She was also cut off from Gyutaro grabbing her jaw and blocking her mouth. Gyutaro angrily whispered, "Well, you have a lot of nerve. I'm sure going to mind you, you hear me?" Tengen screamed at the top of his lungs, "Hinatsuru!!" Another belt made its way towards him as he slashed it. Many more followed behind as he cut them and thought, "The Belts are blocking me!" All the belts from a wall, blocking Tengen's view of the two. He yelled, "Hinatsuru!"

-Tengen's Memory-
Beautiful scenery is displayed. A sunset and an orange-filled sky had appeared. Suma yells, "Wow! It's so beautiful here, isn't it, Tengen-sama? I wish I could become a dragonfly and soar like that!" Tengen replied, "Hey, that's a flash dream if I ever heard one!" Makio angrily says from behind, "There you go again, sounding like a fool! For heaven's sake!" The two look behind to see Hinatsuru and Makio. Suma yells, "What? That's so not true! I hate you, Makio-san!" Makio shouts, "What was that? I dare you to say that again!" Hinatsuru begins to chuckle at the two before everyone went quiet. After calming down, she says, "Tengen-sama... After defeating an Upper-Rank demon... let's withdraw from the front lines... and live like ordinary people. Though we were raised as shinobi, and though it won't bring back the lives that we took... we still need to set things right somewhere along the line... or else we can never hold our heads up as long as we live. When that day comes, all four of us might not be alive. But no hard feelings, all right?" She begins to give a closed-eye smile.

-Back with the battle-
Tengen gasps and furrows his eyebrows. He stabbed the belts and opened a spot for him to yell, "Leave her alone!" Tanjiro looked at the encounter above him and quickly thought to himself, "Move! Move, move, move!" He began to sprint at full speed and continued, "Another person's about to be killed! Another person's about to be killed before my eyes! Close the distance! Jump! Up on the roof! Your tiredness can wait! Move!" Daki's belts tried to cut him as he cut them and thought, "He doesn't see me as a threat! That's because I'm very tired! If I make an unpredictable move, I can save her! Use the kagura! Hinokami Kagura's the answer! I can reach her easily with that!" He began to use the Hinokami Kagura technique but was cut off by his fatigue. He thought, "Ahh! It's not good! I have no stamina! I can't dig in! What should I do? Hurry! Hurry! Tanjiro placed her down and coughed from exhaustion. Gyutaro thought, "Seriously, that was a lightning-fast move." He turned and faced Tanjiro and continued, "There's no way he can still move like that!" Tanjiro thought, "I did it! I did it! Blend the breathing techniques! Use Water Breathing and the Hinokami Kagura in combination! That'll give me more attack power than I'd have with just Water Breathing, and I'll also be able to move longer than with just the Hinokami Kagura! I'm sure the swordsmen who've fought the demons until now did just that! Taking the breathing techniques and sword skills that suited them beat, and modifying them into the form that would allow them to exert maximum power! Because they racked their brains! That's why so many offshoots have been created! Modify it... into any form! Be flexible! That's the fighting style that Urokodaki-san taught me! Even.
