A Forged Bond

"The Sword going halfway through the demon's arm."

-Somewhere on the mountain-
Moonlight peers above a clearing as insect chirps can be heard. Giyu stands by three dead swordsmen, possibly looking for any survivors. A lady's voice, Shinobu, asks, "Were you acquainted with any of them? There don't seem to be any survivors around here. We were informed that several rookie Mizunoto had joined the battle, but they might be dead by now, don't you think?" Giyu looks to the left and says, "Let's go."
Both Shinobu and Giyu run down a clear path. Shinobi speaks, "Isn't the moon lovely? Since we've been given this joint mission, let's try to get along." Giyu says, "My only concern is slaying demons." Shinobu responds, "How cold-hearted of you. All right, then, let's split up here. I shall proceed from the west." Giyu says, "Very well." Shinobi chuckles before jumping off into the air, faster than the eye can see. Giyu continues down the path alone.

-Tanjiro's POV-
As my sword goes halfway through the demon, it growls while I try to push it through. I struggled as I say, "It's no good! The blade won't cut through!" The demon throws a punch at me as I brace and flex my body. Inosuke slashes the demon, only to go halfway through. He grunts as we both try our hardest to push through the thick arm. My blade goes in a little more as Inosuke struggled. He yelled, "So tough!" The demon growls, creating a shockwave that launches us back. I backflip on a rock landing safely. I told myself, "I can barely cut him even if I use my forms! What should I do?" The demon growls and charges at me while repeating, "Don't come near my family! Stay away!" I jump towards the grass as it punches the rock, destroying it immediately. It looked at me while Inosuke yelled, "What are you looking at? I'm over here! Curse you!" He came from the side jumping down onto the demon. The demon just swiped his arm sending Inosuke flying into the water. I saw him get up and mumble to himself for a while. The demon begins to charge at Inosuke as I begin to run down the path to their left. I ran as I used,

Water Breathing, Second Form... Improved, Lateral Water Wheel!

I sliced the air sending a small shockwave at a tree, cutting it down. Inosuke ran while the demon chased behind him, slowly catching up. The tree creaked as it started to fall, crushing the demon right under it.

-3rd Person POV-
Inosuke rose from the water, confused, he asked, "What's going on?" Tanjiro yelled, "Inosuke! Are you OK?" Inosuke looked at Tanjiro and thought, "He did that? That was some move, dammit!" The Father Demon remained trapped under the log trying to break free. Tanjiro thought, "All right! I should be able to chop off that tough neck now! Water Breathing. The final and most powerful form!" Tanjiro closed his eyes and took a deep inhale. Inosuke gasped and thought, "He's got a different air about him now. He's about to do something totally mind-blowing!" Tanjiro opened his eyes and said, "Now I'll finish him off!" He ran towards the demon while using,

Total Concentration... Water Breathing...

He jumped into the air and flipped to create more force,

Tenth Form!

Just before Tanjiro could take the final blow, the Father Demon finally broke free and lifted the log. Tanjiro gasped stopping his attack. Tanjiro instead cut the wood, lodging his sword into the log. The Father Demon roared as Inosuke yelled, "L-Look out!" The Father Demon threw Tanjiro into the air as Inosuke yelled, "Kentaro!" Tanjiro said, "I-Inosuke! Don't die until I get back! That's one of the Twelve Kizuki! Don't die! Whatever you do, don't die!" Tanjiro's figure finally disappeared as Inosuke watched. The demon got too close to Inosuke, ready to throw a strike at him. Inosuke said, "Oh, crap!"

-With Zenitsu-
Insects chirp as Zenitsu's strained breathing can also be heard. Zenitsu thought, "It's getting really hard to breathe now. I have no feeling in my arms or legs anymore" The wooden house and the remains of the battle are all lit by the moon. The spider minions look up towards the wooden house. Zenitsu thought to himself, "Nezuko-chan... I'm sorry." Zenitsu closed his eyes and was about to give in to the poison, but he heard his mentor say within his mind, "Don't give up!" Zenitsu followed weakly, "Don't... give up..." Zenitsu reopened his eyes and looked toward the moon. Immediately after, a butterfly flew down toward Zenitsu, which was revealed to be Shinobu. Shinobi landed beside Zenitsu quietly as he thought, "Who are you?" Shinobu asked, "Hello there! Are you all right?"

-With a flying Tanjiro-
Tanjiro flew across the sky as he started to descend. He had to think of a way to soften his landing. He used,

Water Breathing, Second Form! Water Wheel!

Tanjiro landed on the ground and rolled till he hit a tree. He said, "I stuck that landing somehow!" He heard a scream deeper into the forest. He gasped and looked toward the noise. A female voice said, "I beg of you! Please stop!" She continues to sob as Tanjiro gets closer to the source of the noise. Tanjiro kneels beside a tree and saw the same demon boy, Rui, from before with the same female demon. The female demon cried while Rui held a web in his hands. Rui spoke to Tanjiro, "What are you looking at? This isn't some show, you know."

-Tanjiro's POV-
I gasped at the demon's heavy presence and asked, "Wh-What are you doing? Aren't you two friends?" The demon answered me, "Friends? Don't put us in the same category as something that flimsy. We're family. We're connected by a strong bond. And besides... this is between me and my sister. So, don't interfere... or I'll carve you up." I said, "You're wrong! Whether you're family or friends, if you have a strong bond, then both are just as precious! Calling it flimsy if you're not related by blood... is not true at all! Not only that but those who have a strong bond give off the scent of trust! But all I'm picking up from you two is the scent of terror, hatred and loathing!" I stood up and finished, "That's not what you call a bond! It's fake! It's forged!" That particular word set those two in a state of shock as the stronger demon stared at me. He uttered, "You..." Just then, another Slayer approached us while saying, "Hey! Look at that, a demon that's just the right size. Even I can take down a kid demon like this one." I warned, "Hold on a second please!" He interrupts, "You can just stay back! I want to take the safe route up the ladder. And a higher rank means more money in my pockets from on high. My unit's practically been wiped out, but I'll slay myself a decent-sized demon and head down the mountain. Take this!" He charged at the demon while I yelled, "Don't do it! Stop!" The demon swiped its hand softly, cutting down the Slayer in less than a second. I was shocked at the demon's strength and ability while thinking, "Shattered to pieces in an instant. But how did he..." The demon spoke, "Hey, what did you say?" I look at him while he turns to me. I get into a defensive position while he adds, "Look, you... What was it that you just said?" I felt his presence and aura get heavier as I got more scared. I started sweating, while I thought, "What an intimidating aura. The air just got heavy and thick. Inosuke, I'm sorry! Hang in there, Ok? Just a little longer! I'll be there as soon as I defeat this demon! I'll come to save you no matter what!" The demon spoke, "Hey, you... What you said just now... Let's hear you say it again. Come on. Say it, will you?" I said, "Sure! I'll repeat it as many times as you want! Your bond is forged!"

-With Inosuke-
Inosuke pants while he hides behind a tree. The Father Demon growls above a hill, in search of Inosuke. He notices Inosuke's blood trail and follows it. Inosuke got startled and thought, "O-Oh, crap!"

-A little Secret-
Tanjiro basically had free time during his wait at the Wisteria House when the other two got injured. He practiced his martial arts and trained during his wait.
