Genya was ready to shoot the demons.

Genya fired the double-barrel and hits both demons' heads. The electricity shot to Tanjiro and Nezuko finally stopped as Tanjiro sniffed and thought, "That weapon... It smells like a Nichirin blade." Genya's weapon shot one head off but the other hung on by a string of skin. Karaku laughs, "Ohhh dude. This is fun! Awesome! I've never felt that one before." Genya hopped down from the roof and went to slash the demon. While Genya ran, Tanjiro yells, "Genya, no! No matter how strong your weapons are, you can't beat them like that!" Genya sliced the string and the head fell. Tanjiro adds while Genya looks right at him, "If you slice them, they'll just split up. They rejuvenate! And they get stronger! They let you cut them up on purpose!" The two demons begin to multiply into four demons while Tanjiro thought, "These demons won't care if you cut their heads off. So their weak point isn't their heads! Split into four... That's some fast regeneration! Is it even? Who regenerates the fastest? There should be a weak point somewhere. Look for it! Find out where it is! What..." Tanjiro was ripped from the ground as Nezuko reached out to him. A demon with wings laughs out, "Kakaka, how delightful. Someone figured us out for the first time in forever." From below, Nezuko tried to chase after Tanjiro while he thought to himself, "This one can fly! So they all have different abilities." Tanjiro looked down below and yells, "Nezuko, don't worry about me! Go help Genya ou..." Tanjiro was again pulled while the flying demon said, "You are depressingly weak."
Genya battled the demon with the staff alone but was stabbed in the stomach. Tanjiro screams, "Genya!! Nezuko, go!! Help Genya now! Please! Go!" The demon asked, "Do you really have time to worry about others?" Tanjiro looked at the demon as it scream out loud at him. Tanjiro tried to use,

"Hinokami Kagura.."

He was cut off by the scream and fell to the ground because he cut the demon's leg to save himself. As Tanjiro fell to the ground, the demon looked down and complimented, "Haha, nice one! This is absolutely delightful." Tanjiro flew to the ground and landed as he thought to himself, "This is going to be tough. I might just have to go all out if it takes forever to find the weak-" Tanjiro was cut off again by the leg of the demon. The leg grew a head and let out another scream as Tanjiro stares at it.

- With Muichiro -
Muichiro ran through the forest to go back to the battle. He also thought to himself, "Wow. He threw me out really far. I have to get back now." Muichiro spotted Kotetsu running around. He thought to himself, "He isn't skilled in his craft since he's inexperienced. Saving him is a low priority." Kotetsu stood before a giant deformed fish. Muichiro again thought to himself, "Judging from its presence, this isn't the real demon. Just one of its summons. I have no reason to stop here. If the whole village is under attack, I have to save the chief. I have to prioritize the more skilled ones." Kotetsu was grabbed by the fish as Muichiro finally remembers something. He remembers Tanjiro saying,

"Helping other people also ends up being beneficial for you at the end of the day."

Muichiro widens his eyes and halts. He turned around and ran to Kotetsu and the fish.
Kotetsu was in the fish's grip but fell flat on the ground. He got up and saw someone in front of him. He heard the person and instantly recognized that it was Kelphead. Kelphead said, "You're getting on the way. So can you just get out of here?" Muichiro then slashed the fish's head off at speeds Kotetsu couldn't keep up. The head dropped to the ground but instantly regenerates. Muichiro thought to himself, "Even if I cut its 'neck', it just crumbles and regenerates." The Hashira then targeted the vase and destroys it with a quick slash. The fish screams as it crumbles and disappears. He thought, "It gets its power from the pot... So this was created with a Blood Demon Art." Kotetsu ran up to Muichiro and hugged him tightly. He also cried out, "I thought I was gonna die! I thought... I was so scared! Sorry for calling you Kelphead! Sorry!!" Muichiro asks, "You called me a Kelphead?" Kotetsu still cried and said, "Wahhh I'm sorry! I just played you before!" Muichiro walked away whilst saying, "Now's not the time for this. I'm going now. So just do whatever you want." Kotetsu yells, "Wait! Kanamori-san's under attack too! Haganezuka-san's been working nonstop on the blade... So please help! If we delay for even a second, it might be too late, so please..." Muichiro kept quiet but then said, "No, I..." He also began to remember a very hazy memory that is unclear, yet clear.

"You can find yourself again for sure. Muichiro."

He put his left hand to his temple and it began to become more clear.

- Muichiro's Hazy Memory (Very Brief) -
Muichiro lays inside a futon with bandages covering his body. Ubuyashiki says, "You may be confused right now. But just focus on survival now. As long as you're alive, you can still do something. Your memories will definitely come back. Don't worry. Don't miss your chances." Ubuyashiki then pointed to his head and finished, "Things which may initially seem trivial might end up clearing the most inside your head."

- Back With Muichiro -
Muichiro, along with him carrying Kotetsu, ran down the forest in search of Haganezuka and Kanamori. Kotetsu yells out, "Let's take our time a bit! Just a bit!" Muichiro says, "Speak and you might bite your tongue off." Kotetsu yells in fear while Muichiro thinks to himself, "Is this right? I can't protect the whole village if I do this... No, I can. I was acknowledged by Oyakata-sama. I am the Mist Pillar of the Demon Slayers. Tokito Muichiro."

- With Tanjiro -
Tanjiro slams the head on the tree and slashes it, cutting it in two. He then thought to himself, "Crap! I cut him on reflex! What do I do now? He'll just end up regenerating again." The demon's head regenerated into two heads and both let out a scream. Tanjiro took no damage and thought, "Oh... I see now. His attack power just dropped! It seems they don't get more powerful the more they split up. I only got a glance but I saw the four primal emotions on their tongues. That means they're strongest when they split into four. So if we split them up some more, they'll get weaker!" Tanjiro felt the demon's presence behind him and instantly turned around. The demon fired another scream attack while Tanjiro dodges by moving to the right. He flies right over the attack and punches the demon in the face. The demon flew back a bit but charged after Tanjiro. Tanjiro readies his blade as the demon gets closer and closer. The two then got into a brief exchange of blows with Tanjiro the first to get a cut, while the demon looks as if it was unscathed. The demon backs up and yells, "How do you like my claws? So fast and sharp! They're so powerful they can ebb cur diamonds! Now shiver in fear. I'll carve you up into a bloody ball of joy!" Tanjiro turns around and looks at the demon with a smirk, "Right back at you." The demo widens its eyes as a cut finally runs down his face. Tanjiro lunged at the demon faster than before and slashes its head. The demon tried to let out a scream attack but was too late. Tanjiro then raised his blade over his head and went in for another attack.

- With Nezuko and Genya -
Nezuko was getting overwhelmed by the leaf demon but began to finish the transformation she did before Muichiro was blown out of the roof. After she finished with it, Nezuko and Karaku were now on equal footing, but Nezuko was more berserk and violent than usual. Karaku laughs, "Kakaka, keep it up, girl! Just a little more. Kakaka! Aww, what's wrong?" Sekido says, "Just tear her apart already. You're pissing me off here. If you prolong this fight, she could become a problem like that boy with the Hanafuda earrings." Karaku yells aloud, "Hands off! This girl's mine! You and Aizetsu can just screw off!" Sekido turns to Genya and says, "Fine. We three will take care of the boy together." He tries to pull the staff out of Genya's abdomen but couldn't. He thought, "I can't pull it out..." Genya points his double-barrel at Aizetsu and says, "Nope." Genya fires his shotgun point-blank at Aizetu's face, blowing it to bits.

Tanjiro's body can lessen the damage whenever he is hit by the same attack twice or more times.
