Everything was falling into place for Dream. Tommy was now much more vulnerable and way less independent now that Dream had destroyed the Logshire. If Dream was correct, this new change would make it MUCH easier to manipulate Tommy. Tommy was perfect for what Dream wanted to do because he had family ties to the only fighter stronger than Dream himself, Technoblade. He also had close relationships with at least a fourth of the server. The plan was moving smoothly enough. So far, Dream had led Tommy to believe they were friends...
But that was the easiest part.
Even though the kid was perfect for the job, there were a LOT of complications. One of them being that he's suicidal. If he died, all of the months Dream worked to make a flawless plan would be for nothing. On top of that, Dream would never be able to forgive himself. Sure, Dream was just using him, but he was still just a kid. Having Tommy die because of him would be a big blow. Dream knew it was weird to attach to your victim but that's kind of what happened. Their relationship was... strange. Dream didn't mind manipulating and hurting Tommy, but couldn't stand to see him die. Tommy trusted Dream, but was extremely afraid of him.
Another big problem is that he was hard to manipulate. Whenever Dream asked him to do something, he asked questions. Too many questions. He wasn't like the others who just did what they were asked. He also still somewhat loved l'manburg and its people, though he always denied it. If he really didn't care about l'manburg, why did he still keep so many pictures of it and its residents? That part would surely get in the way later on into the plan...
Dream wondered what Tommy was doing now. It had been a few days since Dream left. He decided it was time he went back. Tommy could've been starving right then. He didn't want Tommy to DIE. He was too important to Dream's plans and mental state.
Dream turned around and started walking. It wouldn't take him too long to reach the portal, well it wouldn't have if Dream hadn't hit ONE zombified piglin. He always forgot that zombified piglins basically shared one big brain. Now, a whole clan of zombified piglins were after him. After a few minutes, Dream found the portal and jumped through it. The Logshire, or what remained of it, was still there... But no Tommy. He had expected Tommy to run towards him and beg for forgiveness, as he had always done after a punishment, but he was nowhere to be seen.
"Tommy?" Dream called.
No answer.
"Tommy wouldn't have actually killed himself, would he?" Dream thought to himself.
Dream started to panic as he checked everything on the floor to see if he could stop Tommy's items. If Tommy had truly committed suicide, it would have been all his fault. He would never be able to sleep peacefully again knowing he had killed a kid.
"TOMMY?!" Dream called louder, "This isn't funny Tommy, where are you?!"
Dream was becoming anxious. He was about to call for a third time, but suddenly, something clicked in his head. Tommy had run away. It was the only thing that made sense. There was no way for Tommy to kill himself, and even if he had, his items weren't anywhere. Dream knew he should have seen it coming. Blowing up the Logshire was too far, even for Tommy. He made a mental note to remember not to go that far next time... if there even was a next time. Tommy could already be dead. He probably was. There was nobody to go to, especially there. The area was basically in the middle of nowhere. Dream decided there was only one thing left to do.
He needed to find Tommy.
