Techno awoke at 10:00 am, much later than he usually did. He stared at the ceiling blankly as he recounted what had happened over the last few days. Everything went so fast, it was all too strange. Was it all a dream? Was Techno still in a dream? If he were, he wouldn't be surprised, he couldn't feel anything.
"Tommy would've wanted me to get up..."
After a few minutes, maybe a few hours, a few days even, Techno finally rose from his bed. After brushing his teeth he quietly went down the stairs. He had a strange feeling of numbness laid out through his body. Techno didn't really mind. Actually, if he hadn't known better, he would've said it was better this way. You can't feel pain if you can't really feel at all right?
"Tommy would've wanted me to feel all the joys he couldn't..."
He strolled through the living room to see everyone huddled up on the couch, except for a few who preferred the floor more than being squished, asleep. He examined them for a while before hearing a crash from outside.
Techno sluggishly found his way outside to see Karl Jacobs himself, throwing potions around his house. Sure they were enchanted potions, but what was the point in throwing them around? Techno decided he'd find out.
"Why the hell are you throwing potions around my house?" Techno asked, his words slightly slurred together.
"The Angel of Death isn't the only god, as you should know very well. Dream is getting help from another god, I need to protect this area with powerful potions for what comes next," Karl answered, not looking up from his task.
Techno stared at him like the man had gone mad. Another god was helping Dream? He remembered what Karl had told him only several hours ago about talking to everyone. Maybe he would mention that god then... But had Karl forgotten? If Techno was to remind him, would it be worth it to find out what he wanted to say? Techno didn't get much time to decide, as it seemed Karl had decided for him.
"Hey, can you wake up the others? We still need to talk soon," Karl stated.
Techno nodded and walked back into the house. After entering the living room, he noticed that a few people were missing. They must have woken up during the short interaction between Techno and Karl. The people missing were Drista and Slime.
"So... what do you want for breakfast?" A tired voice croaked from the kitchen.
He looked over to see Drista getting out a pan and Slime having his head down on the, relatively small, dining table. Drista's hair was a mess and her eyes were bloodshot. Techno didn't answer. He wasn't exactly sure how to. Karl seemed to be almost unaffected by Tommy's death, so talking to him without being reminded of yesterday's event was easy, but Drista seemed to feel a lot more regret than Techno did. Drista noticed Techno's unwillingness to speak and looked down mournfully.
"I'm really sorry, it's really all my fault-" Drista began.
"It's not just yours, it's all of our faults," Techno interrupted calmly.
"Oh, if only you knew... so eggs then?" Drista asked.
"Ok, I'll just have a sunny side up," Techno replied. (In my language it's said differently, but apparently, this is how Americans say it, right? IF YOU KNOW ANOTHER NAME FOR IT PLZ TELL ME-)
Drista looked down at the pan again as Techno shifted his gaze to everyone else on the couch, which was basically just Tubbo and Ranboo, though it seemed Tubbo had rolled off.
"Lovebirds," Techno thought as he moved to wake the two.
Though, he did regret thinking "lovebirds," as it seemed to wake up the voices.
